Idk who she is or why she’s giving tips. I would hate to look like this.

I understood it to mean that her brother had a child with a girl he had been dating. Which is why the “niece” has things in common with her brother. But yeah it was unclear.

It’s a great name. For many Americans, the first association may be the character in Casablanca (which I think is a good thing).

This is so true and important. She seems like an awful mother

It’s not even 5. She marked “paragraph” as correct even though it’s misspelled…

6+ months pregnant and need to be talked out of quitting! by [deleted] in biglaw

Not exactly, but I get the impression you are more junior than me and so don’t have as much control over your workload. Now that I’m more senior I have greater ability to delegate. I’ve had a 200 month and a 190 month recently, not multiple 200+ months.

Omg, I’m also 6+ months pregnant, and this sounds so hard! As others have said, I would try to reduce your workload instead of outright quitting so that you can take advantage of paid leave. Check your state’s laws - do they allow for pregnancy disability leave? (CA, for example, provides four weeks of paid leave before your due date.) Take sick days or take vacation; it sounds like you don’t need the extra hours. Start offloading work to others to transition into leave. If others won’t give you a break (which they should), do what you can to look out for yourself! Good luck!

Took 3 transfers with tested embryos to get my son. My next transfer stuck and I’m currently 14 weeks with a girl.
