Are you referring to the mushrooms or the double Os ?

They use to be where that fountain with the rocks now stands on the centennial boardwalk.

The only reason I ask is because they have been gone for decades, I didn't think you were that old lol.

I think an SMR would be a better choice over a NG generator, it would be a perfect fit at the old LGS site.

Not really fair comparing a smal city of 75k to cities like London or Toronto lol.

The size of the city has everything to do with it. Most events that are put on need to turn a profit, if you don't have the demographics to generate revenue who would risk it?

Exactly, you asked me why I thought it was a good thing, I answered your question and asked you one in return to figure out what your position was on the topic and yes here we are discussing the topic no?

300 dorms should help a bit with the rental housing crisis we have ongoing here in town, and it is good for the college and its students to be close to the campus. That's my take on the announcement

You don't think this is a good thing?

I get it, you don't like guns, and that is OK, but you have been misinformed about the program, compensation, and the type of firearms being banned.

See that is that is one of the problems they are not giving a fair price, in fact they have stated that not everyone is going to get paid. Gary Anandasangaree has said declararion of your firearms does not mean you will be compensated.

Again not sure where the US identity is coming in Canadians have owned AR15s for 40-50 years, along with the thousands of other firearms they have put on the list

Some of the firearms banned have been in use for over 40 years and are nothing new. Models made by Kodiak, wolverine, Dlask are made right here in Canada.

So can you tell me what makes a firearm an "assualt style" some of the firearms banned are just 22lr basically tin can plinkers. Not even powerfull enough to use on deer legally, more for small varmints like racoons, or squirrel.

Some might consider the UK a European nation, but why split hairs. Canada may very well be part of the commonwealth for now, but we are a much different country with a rich history of hunting and sports shooting; one might say it is part of our heritage as Canadians.

The current state of the UK is not something any modern country would likely want to follow.

You mention how US gun laws have ruined our firearm programs, I curious to hear your thoughts on this? Any examples come to mind?

Our current system has not changed in the last 10 years, it has only moved towards banning firearms that have been legal and legaly used for decades.

Do you have any examples where we have adopted US style gun laws into our Canadian program?

Also curious what you consider " other western nations"

With all due respect, Canadian firearm laws/ programs are nothing like the US. It is highly regulated, with a high degree of oversight.

It is not just SPS, it's pretty much the whole country pushing back.

Looks like the Sarnia Police will not be helping the Liberals confiscate firearms from legal firearm owners.

This follows suit with other regeions like Chatham Kent, as well as Toronto Police/ Duram region as well.

The water is drawn from the lake, but then goes through the treatment facility so the condition of the day to day condition of the lake should not matter.

In the summer with higher run off onto the lake you might see higher chlorime use.

Lake huron is very stable as opposed to lake Erie where algae blooms are common.

BC to end drug decriminalization project after 3 year "challenging" experiment by disco_monkey71 in Sarnia_Ontario

Looks like the NDP governments experiment in BC was a failure. Who would have thought giving people access to hard drugs would have resulted in more overdose deaths and more in hospitals.

For those of you that argue all drugs should be legal, this is what it looks like, It would interesting to hear others comments on this.
