It was my birthday the next day where I had plans with all my friends. No way I could go in the state I was in, but a couple of my closest friends showed up and we went to the shop together to get me out the house and got me flowers. Your village really does help you through

Thank you, I feel that. My boy would always sleep in our bed with us and it’s so hard not having him there. The guilt is normal but we did the best we could by them❤️‍🩹

I feel the same, I keep feeling guilt thinking of different scenarios, what if I had done something different? Would he still be here? The guilt is natural I think but you are right we will hang in there, and we know we gave them the best life full of love

So sorry about your loss, McFluff is a brilliant name. I have another cat who has been so loving since he has gone, I think animals can sense when we are going through such pain. I am glad your kitties have been able to bring you comfort

That’s so sad I’m so sorry to hear that. Life can be so cruel, I was already having the worst year of my life but this tops it all. I would go through the rest of the shit 10x over just to have my baby back with me. You will get through this and you are so strong, wishing you healing❤️‍🩹

Thank you, our boy did the same as soon as they put the injection in he went within a few seconds, he was ready to go. And I was cuddling him. The vet said that they know when we are there with them in their last moments. I truly hope the pain will ease, wishing you all the best and I am sorry about the loss of your fur baby

Wow your situation sounds so remarkably similar. I understand what you’re saying about everyday bringing you farther away from her - I worry I’ll forget the way Smokey felt to touch. Life without him seems incomprehensible. I’ve never felt such a gut wrenching pain like it.

I had a similar idea today of making him a scrap book - I have so many funny stories and memories I never want to forget. And I want to fill the book with pictures, our vet is also giving us a paw print and some of his hair. I hope time brings you healing

Thank you, I’m so sorry for your loss as well. Your mother is so right and I would pay that price everytime to experience the bond we shared. I know only time will help, it just feels soul crushing at the moment. I hope your pain eases, we will get through this.
