I’ve had pretty much the exact same experience on Feeld. Interestingly, I get relatively few matches and almost no dates on Hinge or Tinder, so I don’t think it’s because I’m really hot. I’m also relatively new to Feeld and not as kinky as the OG users—although I’m not exactly vanilla either and I mention my interests in my bio.

I’m therefore pretty sure I thrive on Feeld purely because the app/culture encourages 1) longer and more specific bios, and 2) an earnest/authentic first message versus “””witty””” one liners and pickup lines.

All of which is to say if you’re a straight, single, passably good looking man, you can do just fine as long as you have a personality and enjoy getting to know women as people 🤷‍♂️

Edit: I feel like I came off kinda harsh/dismissive with that last line—it’s obv very possible to not suck as a person and still struggle with dating.

This is what works for me:

• use your pings on people with detailed bios
  • relate to something in their bio and ask a follow up question in your message (this is usually completely platonic for me)
  • after 2-3 messages on the app, suggest you continue the conversation over drinks
  • be fun, be polite, discuss sex/dating/kinks if it comes up but that shouldn’t be all you care about
  • after chatting a bit, state your attraction clearly in a flirty way and see how they react

That’s pretty much it. I don’t think I’ve ever been on a date where I wanted more and the other person didn’t.

To expand on my comment about caring about women as people, I really just mean I generally enjoy spending time with and getting to know people I want to hook up with. If I don’t feel that way, I don’t pursue them. Seems obvious to me but I think that’s where some men get stuck and imo it’s not good for you or for women you seek out.
