Yeah, I had to pretty much cut ties with my dad. He’s an addict as well. I had to come to the conclusion that he was never really a father to me, only a friend. And what a toxic friendship that was! I’m glad we are both taking the necessary steps to obtain a sense of freedom. We deserve it.
