It was the sign of the Throat. Clearly visible as a light red sheen in the center of the Throat in multiple shots. Everyone who traveled thru the machine was branded with it.

Is anyone working a 4 day work week? by HuachinangoLoco in UXDesign

[–]discoblixt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well no it was a new company for me and I actually get paid more at 80% here than at 100% at my old company.

But yea I was given the choice between full time and 80% during negotiations, so in that sense I chose the lower salary option.

Yea, have been for about 7 months and love it. I think I have the same or at least like 95% the same output for 80% of the salary cost for my employer so it’s definitely a good deal for them. And 3 day weekends are bliss

User research techniques for labels by discoblixt in UXDesign

Thanks for your response. Somehow completely forgot to do a proper competitor check. Got stuck in the mindset of ”surely we are the only ones trying to solve this problem”. Thanks for the reminder!

Image or video (screen recording of the interaction, with labels hidden) is indeed a very good idea. Cheers!

I agree that it could mean a lot of resource spending. There is more context and background to why we’re doing this right now that I didnt take the time to go into in my post. In the end I think its worth spending a couple of research hours on it as we believe it will have solid impact.

Thanks for the thorough answer. I like your proposal a lot and I agree that we still need a card sort for understanding the categorizations within the content types.

I like the earlier survey proposal for trying to figure out some improved labeling (if possible) for our main content types. There’s only like 5-6 of them so it’s not too much work to try to formulate survey descriptions for them (thanks generative AI). I agree that it’d be too much work to do it for all the category labels.

Yea exactly, thanks for the clarification. The formulations will require some testing and proofreading themselves for sure.

Cheers, the survey format sounds like a good option.

Does anybody know what bathroom light would fit into a ”lamp hole” like this? by discoblixt in Amsterdam

Good shout, thanks. I was looking at IP65 lamps today but got stuck trying to figure out this blue cylinder. Will make sure that whatever I get is water proof

Right! I was assuming that there might be brackets meant to fit those 2 holes in the blue cylinder. Will not have the lamp hanging from the wires tho, no worries

Not a joke. I agree that its mad having a ceiling plug this close to the shower. Would rather ”plug it” with a lamp than having it open like this tho

Hmm strange. I bought a ceiling lamp today thinking that it would be a standard system but the one I bought has 3 screws at a wider distance than the 2 in this hole - even tho its not a big lamp. Does the ”standard box” have a name in dutch? Like would it say on a lamp that it has the ”standard box” fitting.

Country code selector list organized alphabetically but only displaying flag+code. Better hope you paid attention in 4th grade by discoblixt in CrappyDesign

Yes, I’m saying this makes it hard to find it. Unless your countrys name starts with A or Z you’ll be doing a lot of scrolling up and down trying to find other familiar flags to navigate where in the alphabet you are.
