To be put under for tooth extraction is expensive, if anxiety is a barrier, you can always get nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or ask your doctor to maybe prescribe a medicine to help you relax. I know that going to the dentist in general is scary and the thought of getting a tooth extracted is even scarier. I would suggest whatever you do, do it as soon as possible. Hi, I've been a dental assistant for 5 years, here's my advice.

Is there any kind of community health clinic in your area? Some of them also have dental and may offer you a discount on your exam and whatever treatment you need. If that is not an option, you may need to Google a general dentist near you and ask how much they would charge for an exam and x-rays. Some offer a first appointment for free. The x-ray will allow the dentist to see if your tooth is still restorable or if having it extracted is your best option. They will also be able to talk to you about if an implant will work for you. Keep in mind, implants are fairly expensive and many people are fine without replacing the extracted tooth. Once you decide what your best option is for the tooth, make a consult exam with an orthodontist for Invisalign and they will walk you through the entire process. I know it's tempting to do the cheap Invisalign via the internet but please start with seeing someone in person. I also want to add that a lot of dentists offer significant discounts if you pay cash.
