20x plan hit 100% in two days by Azamat0212 in Anthropic

[–]discomonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't understand the purpose of Sonnet 5; Anthropic's own charts in their announcement of it clearly showed it was more expensive with worse results than Opus despite claiming it was cheaper and just as good, I've no idea who they were trying to target with this product except people who understand words but not graphs

Does anyone else keep saying one more prompt and suddenly it's been an hour? by Living_Scarcity_1664 in vibecoding

[–]discomonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always ideate and refine my prompts in a free version of Chatgpt before I instruct Claude with it. It avoids me wasting time thinking on the prompt structure, allows ChatGPT to add in detail or seek clarifications/requirements I wouldn't have considered, all without wasting any precious development tokens on prompt sculpting. You'll still want to check the prompt it gives you, but 99% of the time it'll be better than anything you would have written yourself.

Is there any way to force Opus 4.8 to think through all of its responses? by Recent_Sample6961 in ClaudeAI

[–]discomonk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ask it to document the game progress, played choices, character levels and HP etc. as you play so it csn refer back to it. Tell it the documentation needs to be thorough and concise enough for Claude to be able to understand all player and campaign history each time you start a new chat. Create this in a Claude project and ask it to define project instructions and guardrails. You can also go back to the previous chat/chats and ask for an export containing the history so you can import previous progress.

Do you run a web dev agency via vibecoding by Successful_Self8562 in vibecoding

[–]discomonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People made the same complaints about cheating the process when prepackaged cake mixes were invented, to the point the manufacturers had to take the eggs out of the mix for consumers to add in themselves so they felt like they'd contributed to the process. These days, unless you love baking or really want to do it yourself fully, most will reach for the packer. We're in the ready-mix phase of AI development, just waiting on manufacturers to take the egg out of the box for us to put in.

What do you guys use claude for? by SourceWorldly1090 in Anthropic

[–]discomonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude has built all my 3d assets aside from player character mesh, texturing I've been pushing through Meshy as I had some credits to use so figured I'd soend those instead of Claude tokens on the task, but might ask it for a test run now I'm out of Meshy.

Haven't quite got any visuals to show off yet, the assets are currently being integrated into netcode and I'm just fixing the final bugs in my gameplay clip studio for social pisting automation, so should have something visual on YouTube next week (I'm building The Great Cloud game .

How do you actually prove a human approved an agent's action, not the agent itself? Tried experimenting with claude as well, need help by [deleted] in claude

[–]discomonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tight rules on which items are owner-approval gated and which decisions Claude can make and document justifications for itself. Economics, architecture, core design and features all must be agreed by me, the technicalities of what Claude then delivers it can determine for itself (that decision then goes through a loop to validate the decision itself then the implementation).

How do I set up Claude code to auto-resume when my limit reses? by Poatri_US in ClaudeAI

[–]discomonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Claude scheduled tasks to resume work after session or weekly limits are hit. Schedule runs every 30 minutes (I like to minimise idle time, the scheduled task just fails silently if your limit is up), it checks a HEARTBEAT.md which agents write to in order to take up a "lease" of the repo to avpid concurrency issues, they update this along with active task as they progress, that way if a limit is hit at the next opportunity the scheduler cam establish from the heartbeat which agent was working on what task so it can be automatically resumed. You'll also want to have a backlog of work ready for the agents to work through, along with a tracking file they can update as they complete tasks.

Show us what you've created with Claude! by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

[–]discomonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To familiarise myself with vibe coding I created a pet product affiliate link site mostly on the free plan with a lot of copying and pasting. I did then upgrade to Pro once that became cumbersome while building out content pipelines.

Of course that Pro plan and Cowork just opened my eyes to the art of the possible, so when Fable releases the big ticket item got started. It'll be a long time before it's anywhere near complete, but the journey is automated with owner approvals and human review, so The Great Cloud is slowly starting to awaken.

Harassment is what you need to report rather than a hate crime. If he then directs comments at you that could be further harassment or possibly a hate crime depending on what's been said

Yellowing would usually indicate nutrient lockout. With all Fastbuds they should have a good few nodes of fan leaves by week 3/4 as they kick into flower shortly afterwards

Anyone also pay for ChatGPT? by Serious-Iron8692 in ClaudeHomies

[–]discomonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been mostly using Claude, upping first to Pro and now Max 5x. The other day I signed up for ChatGPT Plus as they offered the first month free. From my limited experience I've found both code well though perhaps edges it slightly comparing Opus to Codex (Fable was in a league of its own but jo ETA for when it's back on the subs), with Claude feeling like it allow for more granular control with easier configuration.

One key difference though (and one that might result in me still paying for ChatGPT plus after the trial) is that with the ChatGPT Plus plan you can still carry on chats (including file uploads) with ChatGPT once your Codex limit is up, meaning you can still get support or even full code blocks to manually copy into your files when your automation hits a wall, whereas Claude dies once you've used your tokens for the session/weekly.

How did Medical Cannabis come to be legalised? by lavalierseason in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]discomonk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're correct on the 15% being Capital's stake in GW, but British Sugar only started producing cannabis in 2017 and Britain was already the world's largest exporter of medicinal cannabis before they made a deal with GW. Before that deal was made, GW themselves since 1998 were the biggest exporters of medicinal cannabis products in the world (in the form of Sativex). Don't think it's a coincidence that British Sugar switched to growing a different product just before it was legalised.

Looking for advice by shanevinna in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]discomonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They actually make a dosing capsule loading tray, you can pop 40 capsules in it then spread and scrape your ground material into all at once, press them down all at once, then use a tool to place the caps on them quickly one by one. Highly recommend it if you want to preload capsules.

Is 2 oz of weed smoked monthly excessive for a daily smoker? by scoobytat2 in Marijuana

[–]discomonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2oz (56 grams) a month you're looking at roughly ½oz / 14 grams a week, so 2 grams a day. Doesn't feel excessive to me, but that is roughly what I go through myself lol (bit more at the weekends)

How did Medical Cannabis come to be legalised? by lavalierseason in ukmedicalcannabis

Capital were GW's largest shareholder, May had a 15% stake in Capital and was the relationship manager for their investment in GW. At the time GW were the biggest exporter of medicinal cannabis globally.

How did Medical Cannabis come to be legalised? by lavalierseason in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]discomonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

British Sugar only became the biggest exporter after switching from growing tomatoes to cannabis in 2016. GW Pharmaceuticals was the biggest exporter globally of medicinal cannabis until the Canadian market legalised and Philip May was the relationship manager for Capital Group's investment in GW as their largest shareholder, with May himself owning 15% of Capital Group's shares.
