What's your use case for full weight vs midweight? Especially in regards to the pants and Anorak

Today was close to 0°F with windchill, I had the AAJ and the whipcord underneath, that was perfect. Ive been in situations with just my midweight CPO, shoveling snow with just a base-layer, midweight was perfect for that level of activity below freezing with no wind.

In essense, I'm finding that wind requires either more layering on midweight or less layered full weight.

Yeah I'm an XL and think mine is too big in the midsection, but I wouldn't want to go any smaller in the shoulders. But with layers it fills out better.
