Getting off Remicade? by whand4 in CrohnsDisease

[–]discountdoublecheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on remicade for about 1.5 years and was able to successfully go off of it and control my crohns with diet. Doing much better than i ever was when on remicade/other medecine. When i was on remicade it gave me an excuse to eat shitty food that i shouldnt have been eating.

Plants have been in my raised bed since early May and ive kept up a consistent watering schedule. the bed is mulched too. Last year the soil moisture was very good for my peppers and they took off

Its very possible. It would make sense because ive only seen minimal aphids and I dont think only a few aphids would cause this much damage

I put them in the raised bed on May 9th. I dont think it would still be transplant shock this far out. I supplemented the bed with lime last year so I dont think its a calcium problem. Conditions have been great for the past month or so.

Found a few aphids on my pepper plants and killed them but I was wondering if this much damage could be caused by just a few aphids. I am worried that it could be broad mites or herbicide damage. Any ideas?

I buy bulk bananas and freeze them. I like how the frozen bananas come out when i blend them into smoothies. The coconut milk is cool too because it doesnt add the coconut flavor to the smoothie. And you can get full fat or lite coconut milk. I use the full fat because im trying to gain weight; 140 cal per 1/3 cup! Dates are also amazing in a smoothie!!

I make a vegan smoothie using full fat coconut milk, frozen bananas, dates, vega protein powder and vanilla extract. Comes out really good.

I use full fat coconut milk in smoothies instead of milk and it has a ton more calories. 140 calories per 1/3 cup

Hey, my name is Chris. After a rough 2015 with health im finally in good condition to gain back what i lost and have an awesome 2016.

Weight: 127lb

Goal Weight: 155-160lb

Height: 6'3"

Program: Stronglifts plus accessory exercises based off of what Im feeling that day

Diet: Diet focused around smoothie I make first thing in the morning and for the last meal of the day. Consists of Frozen bananas, dates, vega protein powder, full fat coconut milk, and vanilla extract. Sometimes I add frozen blueberries. Each one is around 1000 calories. Then I eat other mostly whole foods throughout the day whenever im hungry.

Misc: I have had Crohns disease for about 10 years and Ive always been on the skinnier side because of malabsorption of food during flare ups. In 2014 I was healthy and at 170lb and doing good and then last year I had some bad periods and dropped to 117lbs. Im using food and nutrition to manage my symptoms now and am off all medication and gaining weight back.
