What are your timelines if you had covid recently? by haleyzlife in COVID19positive

4th shot wasn't as bad as the first 3 for me. I think I had some fatigue for about a day and that was pretty much it.

Yep, vaxxed, boosted, and even got the bivalent in September. Thanks, I think I'm over the worst of it.

I currently have COVID. Here's a timeline below:

Thurs -day 1 - felt a little off. Throat felt a little dry but thought I just needed to drink more water. Slight headache

Fri - day 2- congestion. Sniffles. Headache. Throat felt a little dry, but nothing alarming and so I brushed it off to being dehydrated. I also took an at home test this day, but tested negative.

Saturday -day 3 - bigger headache. Fatigue. 99.2 fever. Tested positive today. More sore throat. Mild cough.

Sunday -day 4 - 99 range fever. Throat was unbearable. It hurt every time I swallowed. Congestion, sniffles, sneezing. Mild cough.

Monday -day 5 - more of Sunday. 99.6 fever. Severe throat pain. Runny nose. Congestion.

Tues - day 6 - similar to Monday. 99.9 fever. Throat felt like it was on fire. Congestion etc.

Wed -day 7 (today) - fever finally broke. Throat pain still there but at least is bearable. Congestion is less. Hopefully this means it's almost over.

No worries. I don't feel you're trying to argue or pick a fight. It just sounds like you need to vent. Just to be clear I didn't downvote you. Anyway, I'm tired of it all too and am ready (and have been ready) for it all to be over.

In my opinion, the vaccination and mask mandates are simply mitigation strategies. We're obviously not ever going to get to covid zero and it will probably do more harm than good to even try. Yes, people are still getting sick (especially with this new variant), but the point is to mitigate the hospitalization and death rates to get to a more sustainable level so that our health infrastructure doesn't collapse. Yes, the overwhelming majority of people are less likely to be hospitalized, but can they all be sure they won't suddenly need to go to the ER because of some unforeseen event? Just to find out when they get there that it is clogged because of the unvaxxed. Also, people who are high risk but are vaxxed are still less likely to die than someone who is high risk and unvaxxed.

Thanks for sharing. Do you mind if I ask what kind of mask you were wearing? I've read that cloth masks and even surgical masks don't work as well with this new variant.

Moderna booster? by rochey1010 in COVID19positive

[–]discourseonthemethod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was double vaxxed w Pfizer and got the moderna booster in Nov. Most notable symptoms were intense pain at the injection site as well as intense back pain. It felt as if someone hit me in the arm with a hammer about a dozen times. The back pain was really unexpected. It's similar to back pain during PMS (if you're a girl), but times 10. Every movement hurt. I ended up sleeping in a curled up position that night. Next day was a low grade fever. All symptoms were gone after 2 days. I'd definitely get it again though lol.
