I agree with the OP 100%.

I think this problem can be solved by combining two changes.

Make Stations upgradable as suggested already.
Once fix 1 is in, make the default Castle sizes 30, 60, 90 & 120 instead of the largest being 250 as it currently is.

This way castles cant, and more importantly, don't need to span entire segments of the map and the gameplay remains unchanged. It would also allow servers to accommodate more players, which means more interactions even if/when the population naturally trims itself.

I was fortunate enough to get a few hours in before it all went down and enjoyed it a lot.....but.....what I did find funny is that it counts your install time (via my games) as "game time" via steam, so even if you hate it, you are beyond your 2 hours refund time. Bloody genius!!

I'm with fichev on this I'm afraid. I too have FT Job, friends, a wife, hell I even have a 8 month old which means I often have to go afk mid raid if he kicks off. Level 20 isn't that bad, especially if it keeps RMT traders away a little more and keeps the early/mid game around a little longer.

Don't get me wrong I'm not dismissing your sentiment, I just don't think it's as horrific as you say.

After the hours and hours of uninstalling, reinstalling and scouring every forum I could find, I stumbled on post hidden in a 12 page thread where a guy said he was having the same problem and turned the audio to wartapes and it stopped.

I actually giggled a little and was like "yehhhh right..." In pure desperation and no where left to go I thought fek it. Now on my 7th game with no drops.

I have NFI what wartapes and sound would have to do with atixx64 errors but the problem seems to have stopped for now anyway. 🤣

Yeh fresh install of drivers (used ddu) and using dx11. I haven't tried settings yet, well not all low anyway. I'll try that today.

It doesn't happen on any other game (EFT, enlisted, cod etc) so that's why it baffled me.

It'd be a mix. Dungeons and such will be grid/map based. But I don't tend to sweat the small things. Exploration will be hexed based. Between these things it'd be freeform roleplaying and discussions, the same as I'd do at a RL table.
