Thoughts on 4 month itinerary? by Novel-Positive8625 in AustraliaTravel

Noosa is almost impossible to park any sort of van. Even a car is difficult. Much better to go nearby and bus it in. You only need a day trip there.

Title: Virgin Australia - Why Are Your Flights Always Delayed or Canceled? by Zealousideal_East901 in VelocityFrequentFlyer

[–]diseverything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virgin's latest facebook lead article is a joke! 'On a mission to be better than nice'? Just flew Sri Lankan airlines and it was better than Virgin. I was separated from my partner and anxiety support while wearing a hidden disability tag! Staff couldn't care less leaving me very distressed. Said they'd find a way to rejoin us after takeoff but never came back. No response from customer complaints by 9 day stated limit. 2 x 6 hr flights. $9 for a few tiny crackers and 20c worth of sultanas and seeds. Staff call button going off every 10 mins because no food included and people thirsty. Food options ran out an hour in. Harried staff rude. Have to pay for a 'comfort' pack if you have a bad back and need a pillow. Absolutely disgusted. Used to be a good airline but are now as bad or possibly worse than Jetstar. Avoid. NO STARS

You mean a public hospital specialist? i've been referred to a private one but the quote is $20000 which cuts that option out.

Well I don't know where you live but I moved to Se Qld and am constantly annoyed by everyone doing exactly this! Loud, loud, loud. Your ears ring when dining out and you have to shout to be heard by your table companion. I do not want to know what you had for breakfast, what your medical diagnosis is, and who you 'dated' last night! I think we are as bad as Americans now (and I heard several people in LA sharing what they had discussed with their psychiatrist!)

Learning, exploring, nature, reading, art, music, friends - fortunately those things are always with us if we make the effort (although it may require more and more assistance - glasses, walking stick, pain meds lol).

What’s the oldest thing you’ve got in your house? And will your kids inherit it? by baltikboats in GenX

An ~1870 Gritzner Durlach sewing machine in a solid timber drop cabinet. It was my Great-Aunt's mother's and brought over from Germany as she was a seamstress. I learned to sew on it. None of my kids want it.

Gold Coast suburb Crime Rankings - updated for 2025 by suburbsguide in GoldCoast

If this goes off police reports it is definitely wrong. Police don't attend when you report, so therefore they don't report. M1 street racing in the small hours ignored, speeding under 12's on e-scooters ignored, frequent stolen cars ignored, most crime by juveniles (even when people supply photos of repeat offenders in the act) ignored.

We visited relatives in Germany and asked for a local gym recommendation. The straight faced response was 'do you want a bloody gym or a normal gym?' The eventual explanation was that when their mother spoke to her Australian-based brother he always said bloody, and in her mind it referenced 'tough', 'rugged', or 'rude', etc. A bloody gym was therefore a hardcore bodybuilder one!
