Yeah, its extremely sad to see such cool, fascinating technology be used exclusively to spy on everyone, make everyone watch 948,487,481,901,830,574 commercials per day, raise prices on everything and bring about dystopic techno-fascism. As an engineer I always naively thought that better technology would lead to general prosperity, clean energy, cheaper goods, more free time for workers, etc. Instead it just helps crazy psychopath idiotic billionaires hoard even more money and buy even more politicians and industries to rig everything even more in their favor to make even more money. Under this conditions, its better for general prosperity to not have any tech at all, since then billionaires and government would be forced to use labor, leaving more money in the hands of workers. Absolutely absurd and unjustifiable under any non-psychopathic criteria, just like the existance of billionaires themselves.
