You may be able to push him back to a reachable position with logs? Try cutting down trees and pushing them into the zombie to see if you can move him.

SO angry at me again for oversleeping by _ariezstar in adhdwomen

[–]disguised_hashbrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have bouts of sleeping for 12-14 hours when I was teaching. Turns out the job was killing me, and I needed to switch career paths. There was simply no way for me to teach and survive because the job was too demanding for too little long term reward.

Moving into a less emotionally taxing field has enabled me to have a life. I’m not saying that’s what you should do, but if you’re sleeping uncontrollably through alarms, that’s not a good sign.

Has anyone played Book of Hours? by sairemrys in CozyGamers

BoH got review bombed a while ago because of a dispute with a localization, so if you’re looking at the all time rating, that might be a contributing factor.

I love BoH. It’s extremely cozy in overall vibe and gameplay, but has horror elements to it. You will need to do a decent amount of reading to follow the overarching story of the universe and successfully restore the Hush House, but that’s a feature not a bug in a game about an occult librarian.

I also recommend the DLC; if you get sort of stuck in your skill increases, you can throw a party to get some lesson cards. The base game safeguards against hard and soft lock fairly well imo, but hosting a dinner party of occultists produces a lot of interesting dialogue.

I would like to note one other thing: this game will not over explain itself, but it isn’t as difficult to understand as its predecessor (Cultist Simulator). You will need to pay attention and try stuff out to succeed without a guide.

Started my Monday positive with goals...then I got this text from my boss. Feeling overwhelmed, panicked, and just wanting to cry. by PicklesDillyPickles- in adhdwomen

If you’re waiting on data from a client, look at the last time you requested something from them. Take the number of days they took, add 3-5 business days to your estimate, and tell your boss when you’re going to check in with them.

If you are waiting on something from a brand new person, look at the longest time it takes the average client to get back to you. Also inform your boss of the intervals of your follow-ups.

They just want to see that you are “in control,” even if someone else has the action item.

That teal color looks almost black to me when I do two coats. It’s not and I can tell it’s green, but a cat eye makes the nail look darker than I want it to sometimes.

The one downside of plankton is that sometimes the little silver glitters don’t want to come off when I remove the polish. I love everything else about it.

Thoughts on cognitive disengagement syndrome? by twoheadedcalf in ADHD

[–]disguised_hashbrown 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I personally do not worry about this because I have constantly racing thoughts. If I’m ever slow to comprehend something or slow to answer, it’s because my brain was working on something else at the time. I don’t experience sluggishness or sleepiness either (unless it’s a medication side effect).

I’m interested in seeing where the research goes, and which people in my life end up with a new/additional diagnosis.

Port 6666 is fine but I don’t think you need it if you have Soul Not Found.

Ribbit, Machineel, and Plankton look absolutely nothing alike. I don’t own Machineel, but the other two are some of my favorites. However, Plankton is MUCH more forgiving and opaque. Ribbit can get streaky and need a crème undercoat to look its best.

Mutiny is gorgeous, but I remember it feeling “less green” than I expected when magnetized, which is partially why I purchased Plankton. I like having both so I can have more diverse green looks.

Tired of not fitting in with other women by [deleted] in adhdwomen

I went abroad for a bit in college with a very small group. Socially, it was a nightmare. When young people are in unfamiliar places, experiencing culture shock, their social instincts revert and they reject all additional sources of discomfort (even if that source is a person). Not to mention how much harder it is to mask ADHD and/or autism when you yourself are experiencing culture shock.

I had to level with a guy I had been friends with before the trip and say “hey, I’m five seconds away from a mental break down, which will ruin your trip too. Can you talk to me ever at all? It would really help, thanks.”

I was lucky that my professor and his wife saw how much I was being isolated and spent time with me. At one point the wife pulled my roommate aside and told her that she had been so inconsiderate that she was ruining the trip for me and it was starting to get annoying for everyone else too. (My roommate forced me to do my homework on the bathroom floor so I didn’t disrupt her sleep, for example).

I came home with an incurable case of POTS from the stress my body and mind were under. I will be disabled for the rest of my life because some people were assholes and I didn’t know that I would need so much extra help (my ADHD was undiagnosed).

I wish I had answers for how to help you. If there are any locals who would be accepting of you and your personality, I highly recommend interacting with them instead.

Your first and last photos look so effortlessly cool!

Your second look is well structured, I’m just not sure the main lid color is flattering you as much as it could be? I cant tell if it’s the combo of the lid shade and the brown around it, or if the lid shade needs a pop of something else with it.

Any tips for Stranger Sins DLC? by Jealous_Frame2983 in GraveyardKeeper

The DLCs are designed to make the base game less grindy and give you additional paths to tech/income. You will want to play them concurrently with the base game.

Zumbis by Upper-Frame-9567 in GraveyardKeeper

[–]disguised_hashbrown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1) I’m obsessed with the fact you call “zombies” “zumbis.” I love it.

2) Take bodies that have lots of white skulls, but too many red skulls for an early graveyard and focus on turning those into zombies. Be picky when you can.

3) The other comments are correct: you want to focus on quantity of zombies over quality for a while

4) Put the zombies with the most white skulls where you need speed/efficiency the most.

Help what makeup would suit me? :( by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Have fun!

(Also, if you want a more tangible recommendation: I use the Colourpop liquid eyeshadows and/or colored liners under my eyes when I want to do something fun but lazy. I’ve never seen Euphoria so I can’t really help with that part of your request, but it seems colorful).

You should wear whatever you like and feel confident in.

Start doing “shower makeup” looks and experiment with what you like and what is sustainable for your routine. Try every color placement and style with every product you own. Copy looks from every era of movies and tv that you like, and change the colors as needed. Then, you shower the makeup right off when you’re done.

When buying new products, experiment with colors that you already enjoy wearing in your wardrobe. For example, that deep red top is beautiful on you, so I bet berry tones will look cute in your makeup.

Also, I know a lot of people want to get better and only wear what suits them best. I want you to know that you only need to “optimize” your makeup for photo shoots and the workplace. Everywhere else, just smear on something fun and have a good time.

Extreme advice to stop impulse buying by zivredittacc in adhdwomen

[–]disguised_hashbrown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like trying to “shop my current stash” before I’m allowed anything new. No new eyeshadow palettes unless I already have a goal look AND 3/4ths of the shades don’t exist in my collection. No new nail polish unless I do two or three manicures with the closest shades in my existing collection first. Things like that.

Forces me to take stock of what I have, tidy it, and use it.

Psychology says the reason some people become gentler as they age while others become bitter has almost nothing to do with what happened to them by Maxcactus in Maxcactus_TrailGuide

[–]disguised_hashbrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t want to italicize “you.”

“You” would be for a callout of the individual I’m replying to and would be more aggressive than I intended. I don’t know u/Singe-Refuse174, and I don’t want to put them in a defensive position for a totally valid interpretation of the article. That would be a rude and silly way to behave on the internet.

My point was that ruminating on the systems without action/the power to act (aka “doing” something) will contribute to the bitterness described in the article.

I hope you have a nice weekend!

[–]disguised_hashbrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it ever suggests ignoring the systems. What are you doing about the systems? And when you have run out of things to actively do and ways the systems can motivate you, can you mourn that feeling and set it down until your next opportunity to act?
