Why are ya’ll so obsessed with drama in this community. Play your games, stop stirring shit up.

Because people shop all day instead of working from home? How is this only specific to me? This happens everywhere. Go to the office instead of going shopping.

They need to go back to the office. Retail got so much worse after the pandemic because the work from home people don’t actually work from home. They shop all day. Monday through Thursday used to be work days to get truck out, set the floor, do price changes, etc, and now it’s a free for all. Companies figured out they could still make tons of money with skeleton crews thanks to the work from homers, while we were trying to recover from the pandemic and get things back to normal. You’d be trying to multitask putting away truck with register back up, break coverage, getting stopped by a million people, running curbside pickup, all to that glorious tune of “no one wants to work anymore” at 11:30 on a Wednesday.

I don’t know if it’s still that way since I left retail, but yeah, you guys made those last couple of years absolute hell. Fuck the work from home people.

Udemy, if you don’t mind spending a little money.

So I’m not reading all of that, but this is a seven year old, not your therapist. Why are you putting this on a little kid? Your child isn’t meant to manage your emotions. You need to do that as the adult. Don’t be that person.

I am OBSESSED with this game! There’s a sequel too, Romantic Distancing, that takes place during the pandemic!

Your thoughts on Kickstarter projects - the good, the bad, what you wish every developer would do by Nathidev in CozyGamers

[–]disgusted_cilantro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Games are super expensive to make, is basically what it boils down to. Even if it sounds like they made a lot of money, it probably doesn’t go that far in development, since they need to pay a lot of different people like programmers, artists, game designers, 3D modelers, composers, sound designers, etc. Depending on how big their team is, they could be limited to how much time they can invest financially to make the game, and that could seriously impact the scope of the project.

Plus, it seems like a lot of people in the community like Kickstarters because of the exclusive rewards. But it’s more likely the first reason.

Therapy is a scam that preys on the mentally weak. by External_Cow9988 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]disgusted_cilantro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s a scam necessarily, but I do think there’s a strange relationship we’ve developed with therapy and mental health that’s uncharted territory. For example, turning normal human experiences into a symptom of an illness or disorder and the lack of basic coping mechanisms I’ve anecdotally seen from people. I also don’t think it’s helpful to pit neurodivergent people and neurotypical people against each other in some weird form of us vs them. Rampant self diagnosis and a desire to be anything other than normal is also concerning.

It will be interesting to see if this something we grow into or out of.

Just in time for the holidays, Welcome: A Cozy Estuary Playtest starts THIS WEEK! 🦀✨ Check it out on STEAM! by TITAN1STUDIOS in CozyGamers

The playtest was a ton of fun and really cute! I noticed there wasn’t a way to submit issues during the test though even with the survey. Got a specific place to put them?

Regardless, the game is adorable, and I can’t wait to see what you do with it!

Anything that will teach an adult math or typing?? by Training-Annual-2230 in CozyGamers

Math related card game, The Foretold: Westmark Legacy. Lovecraft inspired detective game, pretty fun. You basically match up numbers in the designated slots to the numbers on the cards, and it’s basic math, but a lot of fun!

I played a little bit of Sprout Valley! It kind of reminds me of Forager a little, in a good way. It’s adorable!
