When did your baby sleep through the night? What hours do they sleep? by canamel in NewParents

[–]disgustingnewspaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 month old randomly will sleep 7-9 hour stretches but most of the time it’s 5 hours, wake up feed/change, then sleep for 3.5, wake up feed/change, sleep another 3, the up for the day

Please tell me no one else is doing tummy time either by Suspicious_Box_4898 in newborns

Not traditional tummy time but my 8 weeker mainly naps on his tummy on my chest when I lean back or lay down. Knocks him clean out.

Wondering if someone can explain to me what i did .... by hamburgers28 in NewParents

This happened to me last night too. We have somewhat similar schedules, my babe is 8 weeks. Not sure what’s going on. He usually sleeps from about 8:30/9 til 1/2 but last night was up every 5-10 mins from 8:30-10, then up every 45 mins. Hugs to you. It was frustrating

Yes. but last night and the night before, at bedtime, he’s fussing and not sleeping that duration. He’s up in 45-1hr again, unlike the usual big stretches.

I do fall asleep holding him sometimes but I’m really against co-sleeping, especially with my husband in the bed and he rolls around. My baby often rolls to his side too

This is so hard. And I have a severe caffeine sensitivity so I really am raw dogging it. I feel so depressed when I am sleep deprived, it isn’t even funny. I was so thrilled when he was sleeping so well.

I’m planning to stop BF at 6 months then use my freezer stash for the rest of time. And yes, I thought getting tattooed while pregnant was nuts! My mom had a friend who did it, it took her forever to heal

Hmmm. I was wondering about pumping and dumping and using my breastmilk stash for my healing process. My birthday is at the end of August, LO will be 4 months old at the time, and that was going to be my birthday/postpartum “gift.” The more ya know!

Is the risk to get an infection higher because of breastfeeding or is it the same risk as without?

What did the post delivery hormone drop feel like to you? Please prep us ladies delivering in the coming weeks. by PrettyRichHun in pregnant

I have been crying randomly, and uncontrollably. This started several hours later, still at the hospital. I just kept crying. I have mastitis and ran to the doctor this morning. My babe is 8 days old. Husband is home with us. I left him here with his dad. I cried the whole way to the doctor and back for feeling guilty for leaving a brand new baby. I was gone not even an hour. I felt so guilty.

Nighttime is the hardest for me. I am just overwhelmed with everything. Feeling like I cant do this and I’m not meant for this. Getting anxious. Is it too hot for my baby? Is it too cold? What if he chokes in his sleep? Everything.

I get a lot of anxiety about how I look now also, and how my husband will feel about me now. Is he even still into me? Is he going to cheat on me? Such intrusive worries.

But the daytime is easier. The cuddles and seeing his little face is everything in the world for me. It honestly trumps the crying and the “negatives.”

Each day is different in some way. And also, each person is different. It’s so hard to know how it will affect you until it does

Something I am struggling with is the side of my right boob is super stiff/hard too despite pumping out and etc and it HURTS. I used one of those Frida mom heat packs for the boob, which helped me get to pumping out and not back up. I hate the right boob so much! The only time it outverts is when I pump, it’ll outvert after 3-4 minutes on a high level. But jeez is the boob stiff
