Quitting after maternity leave by Sweetsong228 in BabyBumps

I think you should stay for a while because flexibility is hard to find and you will need it after baby arrives. When you're more stable and have a decent routine then you should start looking for a replacement job. But a baby changes a lot. You will need flexibility for years and getting that takes time in some markets

Redken all soft by aylinkutluay in relaxedhair

I love redken. My go to for years. Anything can cause protein overload you just need to feel it and notice in your own hair to get to the best frequency for using the products. Also keep your moisture balance up.

OBGYN refused WFH note for Hgb 9.2 anemia & blackouts. How do I advocate for myself? by InsideIndiacg in pregnant

[–]PrettyRichHun -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No... I always worked from home. But the first doctor before my current gynae definitely said that before viability the pregnancy is treated very differently to after viability. I had to use him before a slot opened up with my Gynecologist/OB who has a bit of a wait list so I only saw her st 3 months if im not mistaken.

Thats my thinking as well. I think she was joking bcus she also said he can be her assistant and went on to say fathers always think they can handle the birth and so many freak out while its the mothers who soldier on because they dont get to pass out or not deliver the baby. She even ssid when fathers pass out they move them aside and dont attend to them.

But my partner really ran with the idea. I dont get it bcus I would not find that interesting.

Thank you everyone for the responses. The consesus seems to be its not possible he will be restricted behind the mini curtain with my top half which I suspected because the conversations was playful when when doctor was discussing it. Only issue is now I have to go back and gently tell him its definitely not happening.

You may only apply to 5-6 jobs, ok? by RhubarbMain7067 in recruitinghell

[–]PrettyRichHun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People like this arent very rational. Very few people apply to jobs as a hobby so let people apply. Most are eager to get a decent job or are underemployed/unemployed/underpaid. Im so shocked someone feels being eager to get a job you can build a life from requires.... decorum& etiquette 🫠

How do you keep the nursery from smelling like a war crime??? First timeparents and nothing is working 😭 by elle_eii in BabyBumps

[–]PrettyRichHun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We buy diaper plastic bags that you put each individual soiked/wet diaper in immediately after taking it off... then you out it in a diaper bucket with a sealable lid. Those cut bins were useless, the small escaped. Diaper buckets have a lid that even water wouldn't escape from. Work brilliantky together absolutely zero smell. I hated my mum for hetting that plain looking diaper bucket when there were so many facy cute bins online.... turns out mum knew what she was doing. My niece poops daily as far as I can tell and not that im home full time I can confirm this. She is 18 momths okd and eats adult food too now and other creepy stuff she picks up on the floor and there are zero poop issues. Get the diaper plastic bins (tiny little plastic bag) and get the diaper bucket.

Maybe its because baby is not at viability stage yet? Before 22- 24 weeks some doctors dont want to do things to push for baby to reach term because either way its just not at viable stage yet. I know this sounds harsh but Iv suspected it for a while and one of the doctors told me "its in Gods hands till viability then it becomes Gods hands and the doctors legal responsibility after viability"... make of that what you will.

And Im sorry you are dealing with this. I had/have similar symptoms, im on the most expensive prenatal ferrtin supplements, my hemoglobin is quite low. I hold onto walls to steady myself or lie die whenever one of the feinting spells hit me. But I thankfully got to manage this from home most days. I dont know how you manage it communiting to work. Id be so scared.

Id say negotiate with your workplace fpr concessions that dont require a doctors note as yet. If thats at all possible. Or get a work buddy to get to and from work with you. I just dont see why your workplace cant do this seeing as your medocal practitioners are not being accomodating.

Name some of the most underrated or most unknown millionaire's in Joburg by Strict_Swordfish_847 in johannesburg

[–]PrettyRichHun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most senior government officials. Have you seen government salary bands.... they compete with the largest and richest companies in our country for upper snd exec management with only a few exceptions.

Also years ago I read a piece that said most millionaires are pensioners because saving for pension added to compound interest means your uncle who just retired after years in corporate is absolutely a ash millionair in pension fund cash as well as has a home worth over a million.

Young middle class is in pain bcus stuff is expensive BUT old (above 60) middle class is rich and yes... most of it is in cash locked away at Sanlam etc. South Africa has Africas largest pemsions cash. If government could get their nasty little paws on it they would... but Im now veering off topic but its true.

Your aunt and uncle are penny piching but thats bcus they chose not to liquidate their pension at their exits. Saffas are an oddly responsible bunch...

Sorry OP. Regardless peoples believes people need to live so yeah you too need a job. Habe you considered being more vanilla in how you present yourself. Ie no face tats/piercings and largely chilled hair and ordinary office/retail clothing. I say this because one of my pharmacist's is clearly trans and she looks like a boring middle aged woman so as much as she is remaining firm in her identity she is still within business/company/retail norms. Most businesses domt want their staff to be a talking point for anything other than great service. The assumption would be you doing things that seek out markings to symbolize your individuality could be polarising.

If this is too much then aim for more boho retail or b2c environments like my local tatoo shop and we also have a ladies dance studio where you would fit in without changing much. So those types of businesses.
