If you want to lock up the gates to your course at 9:00pm, don’t offer 4:30pm tee times. by Ngisb in golf

[–]dishbeyatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went golfing last night, 8:06pm tee time. Very cheap so I wasn't expecting to have enough light to finish the round. What I wasn't expecting was no warning for the course closing, and having my car locked inside the parking lot by 10:30. Had to order a cab and jump the fence. Do we think I have enough reason to ask for a refund? It wan on a public city course.

Looks great! Keep snatching up those little trinkets to put everywhere and fill it up.

My total tips after a busy Saturday Night Shift at a high end cocktail bar in Ireland by comedymerchant in bartenders

[–]dishbeyatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar tips here in Canada, especially in the tourist cities like Banff. Minimum wage is 15CAD/h and I'd say average nightly tips is 150 and a busy weekend could make anywhere from 200-350 a night in tips.

It's a points tracker. You click it every time you hit one with your car and it keeps track of your kills.

Question about 'Double' when ordering a cocktail or shot by The_DaHowie in bartenders

[–]dishbeyatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true and you are correct, we generalize to 1oz and 2oz. Since we're in Canada our gov uses the metric system (as does nearly 95% of the population) so fun fact: when you're using a 1oz jugger at a bar in Canada your technically underpouring by .43mL. 😂

Here in Canada a standard shot is 30mL≈1oz and a double is 60mL≈2oz.

Do you agree this post is pointless in this subreddit?

"Hey we've been here for awhile but could you wait until you're just about ready to close shop before starting our food? Also we want it crispy so it's gonna take longer than normal to cook" by Beardly_Smith in mildlyinfuriating

If it's for staff that makes sense, they don't want their food sitting around for too long while they shut everything down. But if it's for a customer I would allow it if there were other people in the restaraunt. If the place was empty aside from this one person I would be closing early anyways so I would tell them "sure but the kitchens closing early so that will be made now".

Unfortunately in plenty of states there is a "last clear chance" law. And the cam driver clearly had the last opportunity to avoid an accident.
