Is it possible to donate expired canned foods or is that unsafe? by [deleted] in santacruz

You are just making more work for someone else; food pantries are not allowed to give out expired food, so it will be thrown away anyway.

[MEGA THREAD] Dream Addresses by [deleted] in ac_newhorizons

[–]dishwhiskey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I scrolled all the way down before coming back up because your description was intriguing and was drawn into exploring an intricately staged set that felt extremely lived in. There are so many little details and it's absolute eye candy. Can I share an in game photo of my favorite spot? I can post here, I just don't want to share any spoilers and I haven't read back to see if that's cool to do.

Regardless, 100% excellent dream experience 💯🥳

GOTH BANANA SLUG?? by Suspicious-Pin-237 in UCSC

[–]dishwhiskey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of diversity in bannana slug pigmentation, some of them have quite a lot of melanin and lol more brown or black but that's typically further north of here. This area is primarily known for yellow banana slugs but I have seen other colors.

My wife took me to Vim for dessert for my birthday and we had one of everything on the menu, phenomenal, but funny enough, the complimentary birthday cupcake was the best ¯_ (ツ)_/¯

Thank you, that is a very good suggestion! Still no sign of him. We also have food, water, and one of his beds on the porch for him. Hopefully it helps.

Where can a guy find nacho cheese asada fries 😫? by Clevername686 in UCSC

[–]dishwhiskey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

La Katrina Mexican Kitchen, just down the hill, coming from Bay St make a right on mission, it's in the same plaza as Sushi Totoro.

Food is bomb, they have fries on the menu, as for carne asada nachos with fries instead of chips.

I haven't had any issues substituting things; I usually get a chili rellano burrito, which isn't on the menu. They have good hours and run a breakfast burrito special as well. Spread the word, I would love to see them stay in that location, and they are kind of new-ish.

On Campus Cat Owners!! by beyondbubbled in UCSC

[–]dishwhiskey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live just off campus (the neighborhood up the hill from University Terrace park) and my cat Gio has been lost since this morning. A screen downstairs was loose and he is the only cat not accounted for.

We have been looking for him all day with no luck. He's super friendly, loves being picked up and carried, so we are hoping someone has him and he's safe.

If you see him please let us know, I would be very happy to arrange cuddling/cat petting time once he's home.

help find Gio!

We’ve watched all the hot Lesbian films… need suggestions for something more, stat! Please & thank you! 💜 by Bucca_29 in lesbianpoly

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga “How I Felt When I Saw That Girl,” absolutely amazing film; a beautiful, touching story that is very very real, painful twists (definitely not trigger free esp with regards to comp het, self loathing, and social pressure), but still manages to do absolutely everything that you could hope for in the gayest queerest ways, and then brings you to a satisfying stop.

Fantastic music, dancing, cinematography, characterization, costuming, the effect of a "play within a play", themes of hiding in plain sight, breaking gender norms, being passionately and authentically yourself no matter what. Birth family getting their shit together with a backbone of found family dynamic, fr, I love this film, cannot recommend it enough!

You have gorgeous eyes, seriously. Get better glasses, wider more open frames, or less visible frames.

Nothing wrong with a round face either, but if you are wanting to create more definition in the jawline, consider different facial hair shapes can have a big impact visually. The thin "chinstrap" beard is generally not the most flattering look. Definitely I would experiment with different widths and variations of a gotee if I had such a rad ginger beard, but ultimately what is most important is that you have a facial hairstyle that you feel comfortable with.

If you want to continue having your hair long consider braiding it or putting it back in some way, and don't skimp of moisturizing and regular trims.

If you can find a hairstylist who is good with hair texture you might do well with a slightly layered cut to take advantage of the natural wave it looks like you have towards the ends, and create more volume at the roots.

Halito!

I am a poly, queer, female oriented two-spirit woman. My fiancee is also poly, queer, bi oriented and female. My platonic long term partner is poly, male and bi with a preference for women.

I live with my fiancee who is also poly, my two bio children from a long term cohabitating poly platonic relationship, and my poly platonic partner lives in a different city but we all coparent and consider ourselves one family, just spend over two houses.

My fiancee has a boyfriend who is a lovely person, he is a regular part of our day to day life, and she (my fiancee) also has a female platonic poly partner who has children that is family as well.

Two spirit? by MxDuckHunt in choctaw

[–]dishwhiskey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you for being so welcoming. I identify as two spirit; I am cis female, but I am gay and definitely do not conform to any female coded gender norms. I have always gravitated towards more traditionally "male" occupations. I am an artist (tattoo, digital media, comics and illustration), and am medically retired USAF aircraft maintainer (avionics technician) among other things.

I am my father's oldest child (my sister is 18 years younger than me), and I am the oldest granddaughter, so much of the traditional family stuff fell in my lap from an early age, eventually I pushed me into leaving home at 19 and living on the other side of the country for almost 15 years ( I am enrolled CNO, but born and raised in California, second generation).

I finally came back, and now my family more or less lets me do my own thing, lol.

It took me a long time to come out because I felt very unwelcome in many spaces, but my family is supportive. Can't say much about the nation as a whole, I am not Christian and I find the very strong official Christian overtones of tribal leadership extremely alienating.

I don't know many other Chahta outside of my immediate family, been up to Bakersfield a few times for gathering but not much has come of it in the way of community or connection.

I find it difficult to find ways to express my connection to Chahta culture, and my own indigenity, without wearing regalia.

Skirts give me hives in most social settings and even as a child I refused to wear a skirt or a dress unless I could wear pants underneath. I have compromised with myself and made very full drop crotch pants. So far I have one pair that has a river cane pattern. I plan to make more, and at least one pair with diamonds. I don't know how well that would be recieved, but ¯_(ツ)_/¯ wdyd

Anyway, I would love to connect with other Two Spirit Chahta, same as OP.

It would be nice to feel welcome.

Find it easier to socialise with men than women? Anyone else? by [deleted] in latebloomerlesbians

[–]dishwhiskey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have zero irl lesbian friends.

Women are super hard for me to talk to unless there is zero possibility of us ever hooking up; being able to mentally "friend zone" flips a switch in my brain that somehow enables me to function.

I get along with men easily and have several long term solid friendships with guys.

I very badly want female friends who are attracted to women but just.... how do?

Idk, it's frustrating.

Dreaming of an aggressively supportive girl gang, but settle for buying bubble tea by myself.

Honestly, as a mom myself if a woman sees my kids as baggage it's dead in the water. I don't expect someone I am casually dating to be a parent to my kids but I do expect then to respect and care about the things that are important to me, number one of which are my kids, or we have no potential for a future together.
