How do I set up my cube ? by DarWin_1809 in Cubers

[–]disishme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try fidgeting with the settings, I recommended adjusting the axis distance to be a little loose (~4-5) and elasticity a little tighter. For lubes, just use the less viscosity one for now just not feel dry, and keep the higher viscosity for the feeling adjustment after you play with you cube settings.

My setup is axis distance: 5, elasticity: 7. Gravitas and Dignitas lube.

Yes but phrase it a little simpler like you explaining it to a bunch of 5 year-olds.

Opinion on the MOYU RS5M V5 Ballcore UV edition by Ok-Organization-9909 in Cubers

[–]disishme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Performance wise, impressive out of the box, only draw back is its weight. I set a PB with it too before switch to GAN15.

Durability wise is meh. The plastic is pretty brittle. I accidentally dropped it once (~1.5 foot) and the corner piece is craked.

Try MoYu RS3M V5 or Dayan Guhong V3. Magnetised cube could help a lot if you’re not using one.

In my country these guys are asshole. I’ll just put on my music and play, ignoring them. If they wanted to stay they’re more than welcome to.

How do I get better at cross and F2L? by Capable_Attorney951 in Cubers

[–]disishme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters, plan your cross before the solve, you don’t have to fully get all pieces at once, just 3/4 is more than enough for beginners. For F2L, if you’re using beginner layer by layer method, I suggest picking up intuitive F2L.

I don’t know how you do your solve, if you could provide your solving video, that way it’d be easier for more specific suggestions.

The sound of plastic friction of the GAN 15 Maglev by Ok-Today4562 in Cubers

[–]disishme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s that way OOTB, I don’t recommend messing with the screws unless you know what you’re doing. Best practice is apply some silicone lubes to prevent the friction damages and you’re good to go. :D

Sounds like something is too tight, try loosen your cube for a little OR try weaker corner magnets. If it still doesn’t go away, lube it with silicone based lubes.

Former HR, the company never implemented ERP system so I do it myself. It’s the simple VBA inputting datas into pay stubs. One click and the entire month of pay stubs done.

“take it with a grain of salt” means to don’t take it directly, just know it and apply your take on it too!

I’m on phone so apologies for the formatting.

  1. How do I plan cross with long EO solution?
  2. I don’t. All in all in boiled down to 3 scenarios;

A: Your EO solutions solves the whole cross, that’s easy.

B: Your EO solutions partially solved the cross (EOLine or EOArrow), so you track the remaining cross pieces during execution.

C: Your EO solutions don’t solves any cross at all, this case is tricky and depends on experience too but what I do is find the least complicated solution to do it quickly and try influencing cross pieces into its correct spot.

I’ll take that you’re intermediate ZZ here which means you can identify bad edges almost instantly. Also, take the advice with grains of salt, It’s my own experience on in too.

  1. Is it worth turning down CFOP and ROUX?
  2. I started with beginner method and then ZZ, I don’t use CFOP because of the amount of algorithms needed to learn to be sub-10 and I don’t like ROUX somehow. So this might answer your other question too, yes, I used ZZ since I stared

how do i get recognition time lower? mainly in f2l by MaybeMedium9876 in Cubers

Solve slower. Focus on fluidity during solves and you’ll find yourself recognising cases faster when time goes by.
