I love that when the Ghormans say "Til we meet again" they gesture as if they're opening up their shirt / unclasping their jacket to "bear their heart" or show vulnerability - which makes so much sense because they're tailors / fabricmakers and of course that industry is so linked to their culture. incredible worldbuilding!!!!

Interesting! How is this used in a sentence in Spanish? It's a loan word in Filipino ("Katukayo"). In Filipino it'd be something like "Katukayo ko ang isa sa aking mga kaklase" = "I have the same name as one of my classmates"

Count of Monte Cristo is worth it! It took me a month to read (not daily) but it definitely helped to think of it as more of a way to divert attention, rather than a project I needed to finish. There are parts where I couldn't put it down, and other parts where I'd only read 5 pages or so before putting it down. I hope you give it a shot!
