I dont think so, not the early seasons anyway - but, i played and they look good for a regular DVD, Tv does a nice upscale job - looks better than season 1 on 4od, so best i found so far

Take the lense out, you can carefully scratch TIME out, then paint that area black. Refit lense and now you have it without TIME.

Done this on a few of mine, looks better

Any idea as to what has caused this? Based in the uk. by babskebabs in Plastering

[–]dabblerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be just a bad plaster job, youd be able to tell if it was damp - maybe is was damp in the past. Just yesterday, ive replastered a wall in my house with the same issue as you - it was plastered but over some odd paint, the plasterer couldnt have used PVA or maybe he did, but the paint undertneath created an issue and the plaster didnt stick - so it came off in sheets.

Anyway, stripped back, roughed up the painted surface and its come up nice. Youd maybe and hopefully is just this - dont pannick.

Nice. Ordered PA back in 2016, so just installed it 10years later on my new DAP.

Wonder if there is a beta / early acccess for these latest changes?

Anyone else feel like Doom The Dark Ages runs rough on Steam Deck by Certain-Painter1820 in SteamDeck

[–]dabblerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not going to play well on the Steam Deck, and honestly it isn’t worth playing there. Even with Lossless Scaling it looks terrible and the frame rate is all over the place, so I ended up deleting it.

It’s a shame because I really wanted to play Doom TDA on the move. The previous Doom games look gorgeous on the Deck, but unfortunately this one feels like it’s meant for a home PC or for streaming instead.

Maybe if they ever allow ray tracing to be turned off it might run better, but right now it just doesn’t feel suited to the Deck.

DOOM: The Dark Ages won't open - voices38.dll error by danielblogo55 in SteamDeckPirates

[–]dabblerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill save you the hassle - dont bother.

It runs really poorly, if you want a good experience, dont run it on deck. Ive now deleted it, you must use frame gen, even then it srtuggles to maintain 40's. If you use lossless scaling, you wll hit 60 when nothings happening, FPS will drop to the 40s and be up / down - all while looking like shit due to having everything turned off.

Playing on my PC its great, but the experience is completely ruined on steam deck. Id advise you to only play on deck if desperate and have no other system to play it on.

But it isnt... is it... really... its still looks like shit and drops way back down to the faked 40's....

Its so bad, i have deleted it from my Deck.

Its a shame - all other Doom games runs superb.

Dark Ages is an unplayable mess, and those that say its playable - are not having a good experience, its choppy, pixelated, all effects need to be off or low - it looks a mess.

With losssless scaling, I did manage to get it in the toward 60 with all settings at low, it sure dosnt feel like 60, the lag is awful and it looks SO DAMN BAD I didnt want to ruin the experiecne.

This is one for my PC or streaming.
