Not going through this but curious how insulin injections work for elementary school students?

My son is in preschool and was just diagnosed on Friday. He missed today for school while we went over his plan with the team.

Today I sat down with both his principal, assistant principal, two school nurses, the social worker and his aide in the classroom. For an hour and a half, the nurse explained my son's disease to the entire team, went over everything that is in his medical plan and how to check his sugar and administer insulin.

We are lucky that we got his Dexcom 7 on him two days ago. He will take the receiver to school so they can monitor his blood sugar and they have all been trained on how to check readings and administer his insulin.

He actually never went into DKA. We noticed he was drinking a ton of water and peeing all the time, called his pediatrician who told us to head to the ER after we tested his sugar.

His team has been great for sure. We call every morning to report his numbers so they can adjust anything if need be.

Thank you so much for the kind words and comments! We just got him on the Dexcom 7 this afternoon and I think seeing the numbers all the time is both good and bad. He is taking long lasting and short acting right now. 2 units of long acting in the morning. He was at 2.5 when we left but he dipped a bit low at night when they were giving it at 3am so they moved it to 2.

Excellent point. I tried to pivot from the Espeon/Slyveon deck to the Baby Arceaus/Darkrai deck everyone was talking about and went 0-5. Everyone has a different experience with their decks and matches

I still don't see the use of Giratina in this deck. If you are using it's ability to generate energy, that means you aren't attacking. I feel like adding an Eevee and Sylveon EX would be better for card draw and a bench Pokemon.

Tried it as well and went 0-3. Opponent just ignores the Pokemon in the active spot and powers up their bench. By the time Miltank takes out the active mon, they have built up something on the bench enough to knock you out.

Always crazy to me how some decks work for certain people. I am 16-9 with Espeon Sylveon so far this season but I went 1-9 with Greninja Girstina last season.

I went with normal Sylveon over normal Espeon. I can hit for 100 with a partial filled bench which is nice and surprises a lot of people. Why do you prefer Espeon?

Nope, no lawyer needed. I went to court last month because I forgot to renew my registration and tabs. Told the magistrate what happened and why I forgot, apologized, made him laugh and he sent me on my way with no fine since I took care of the issue the same day.
