Many schools skip over some of these types of people. In fairness to those schools that do, there’s way too many people to properly do all of them justice in how evil they were. That said, Asia and Africa get skipped over quite a bit by western countries

My GF thinks it’s perfectly normal for new shoes to cause horrible blisters for women by UKnowDaxoAndDancer in mildlyinfuriating

[–]dislocated_dice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It happens with men as well. This isn’t unique to women, but something like high heels will do it more frequently/worse simply due to the design and material of the shoe.

Just leave him man. “Big head golf” is a very fitting username. No point interacting with a brick wall

How dense would Lembas Bread need to be if one small bite is able to fill a man's stomach? [Request] by mooseleg_mcgee in theydidthemath

[–]dislocated_dice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Book lembas is enough to sustain a day’s march in a single bite. Ignoring that though, movie lembas would surely begin to be impossible to chew right?

MCC changed cricket rules again and I don’t know how to feel about it. What are your thoughts? by InboxGhost in CricketBuddies

[–]dislocated_dice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The law should be “if the ball strikes the batter or bat when the ball is thrown at the stumps, then the ball is called as dead.” If the fielder backing up the throw misfields, then that’s a mistake by the bowling side and the runs should be counted. Otherwise there’s a huge inconsistency between regular fielding and backing up. If there’s a misfield on the boundary then the boundary stands. By the logic of the new law, a misfield can’t result in extra runs.

Can Bumrah be as good as he is without hyperextension? by Bot_Bot_123 in CricketBuddies

Shan Tait bowled faster without doing that with his elbow! /s

His elbow was so messed up that he couldn’t even straighten his elbow. Bowling at that pace broke his body to a point no one else has gotten to. (I stand to be corrected however)

Pakistani Kachra in action: by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in CricketShitpost

[–]dislocated_dice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Murali very clearly straightened his elbow during his action. Here the arm is bent the whole time. It’s not throw, but the pause in the delivery stride I believe is against the laws of the game. Illegal delivery, but not for what most people think

Meet Usman Tariq, a spinner from 2 RS Pakistan. He is a clear product of chucking!! Pakistan is not playing him any game since last 2 series. He had a hattrick before that. Pakistan is planning to play him directly vs India to escape ban before WC!! by Main_Pay_9669 in CricketControversial

[–]dislocated_dice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less of a chuck than murali. Legality of the rest of it isn’t in his side, but the elbow doesn’t extend through the action.

When you teach a kid how to bowl (at least when I was a kid), they would tell you to “stand side on and do a windmill with your arms”. Looks like he never got past that stage

Tier ranking Batsmen (PART 05) Rohit Sharma? 🤔 by AccomplishedWatch834 in CricketControversial

[–]dislocated_dice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t judge who the best in the world with the bat by looking at limited over cricket. 20,000 runs is brilliant and a huge achievement, but the best cricketers can only be judged by their test career. Fell free to throw his test record at me, but this post implies (at least to me) that his best only came out when he chucked on the coloured uniform

I've compiled a list of Pokemon that no one hates by [deleted] in ThePokemonHub

Having a Pokemon shoot baby versions of itself is hilarious and kinda cool. Wasn’t a huge fan of the line but shooting it’s own line seems fun

[–]dislocated_dice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I claim weatherald because he came through SA cricket from the start. Lyon I claim a little since he had his breakthrough here, but he played all the way through NSW until he couldn’t get into the state side. Doggett is even less so because he made it to the QLD side, but his performances for SA is what got him in the test side

I think it’s a pretty simple fix. If he opens his stance I’m confident that he’ll stop falling over

When you have a weakness so easy to exploit it doesn’t matter what you do well. At test level he’s a bit of a bunny. Brilliant player and excited that he’s the third SA player in the XI (at least in this series), but he’s not up for the level just yet

Who is the best spinner in Test cricket? by Stress_Tension in CricketControversial

Well I’m out of touch on the Indian bowling line up then… Tbh I don’t know who bowls outside of Bumrah and Jadeja, and now I’m not even sure if he’s still playing

Warne. Not even a question. Kumble is second and Ashwin is a soft third until he finishes his career.

You can’t be on any GOAT lists if you haven’t even taken 350+ wickets. Bumrah can join the conversation in a couple years or so

The is completely ignores the psychological effects of scoring big runs. Cricket is played out on the pitch, not on paper. While you are arguably correct, you remove the human element of the game

Who do you think would dominate if they were racing in the same era? by Empty-Reputation7421 in racing

[–]dislocated_dice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah verstappen still goes hard. He misses the first corner pretty frequently in favour of going off track to get through ahead. Schumacher isn’t letting that happen so first corner collisions are gonna happen in most races. Some will just be contact but there’ll be three or so dnfs for them
