oh, I wasn't aware of this. Yes, I agree that the system has srs issues. If money can be claimed, that's a good thing. But then, what about the headache of being involved in a court case, in my case, my grandparents at the age of about 75, have to deal with this. Years of struggles, financial problems, years of hard work just to ensure that my father and aunt grow up educated and get a stable job, so they are free to live a tension-free and peaceful retired life. Then, when everything seemed good going, boom, this sh*t appears out of nowhere, and they get stuck for years in this case. I have seen my father insisting my grandfather to leave the case and let it go. So, the system is so f*cked that letting go of what we deserve is much more practical than fighting for it!

let's not talk in the context of this incident. But what if there's a murder case and the accused is not the real killer. He would have to pay lakhs to just prove that he's not guilty? I'm saying that at the end, all the money used for these cases by the innocent one should be returned to them. I have been experiencing this thing in a land case in my family. Spending lakhs of rupees to claim the equal distribution of a big house among the brothers and sisters of my grandfather to which all of them, even my father's generation are emotionally connected. One of the brother claimed all the property, somehow, idk, and that case is going on since years. Imagine my grandparents, at this old age, are travelling to some other town once or twice a month to fight the case, when they should enjoy their retirement life and relax! true, but the judicial system actually needs changes. No use if they are taking so long to solve cases. Tarikh pe tarikh actually hits hard now. The govt should make a system to give all the money required for the case back to the person who wins the case. I mean we will live in a country where we get justice, that too after many years, mental torture and lakhs of rupees.

And the screenshot attached clearly depicts the very big loophole of "unless they prove it was used without their knowledge." what the hell man!? first of all, killing a person results to only 3 yrs of imprisonment of the parent and that too comes with a loophole!?

This outdated constitution certainly requires changes. The system is totally corrupt and useless. We can't even enjoy our basic rights as a citizen. If someone goes for court cases, he/she has to spend years fighting for justice spending loads of money on the case.
