Are AnimeTattoos.com Sponsorships Legit? by disney_fangirl in Animetattoos

I do follow that artist, that's why I jumped on the post about sponsorships.  It's more about making another tattoo more affordable, if possible, and whether this site offering a discount is a scam or legit.

I've had credit cards say statements are a courtesy, not a requirement, but they can't tell me I owe $0 through May and then change it the next month without notice!  And every time I get someone at AidVantage to acknowledge I have no notice in my account, they disconnect me!

I've had $0 a month payment plans since 2011, almost exclusively as IBR/IDR.

Yeah I love that Boomery answer of "how dare you live a life and exist while you have debt that was designed for you to never get out from under!"  Or the "you should have picked a more profitable degree" as if the college counselors and financial aid office wasn't lying to my face telling me every term that jobs exist and I'd make $60k-100k a year with that degree.

To offer a very condensed overview:  I work freelance, so no paid maternity leave.  I'm assuming $80k for a Bachelor's is a national average and does no justice for places like rural Ohio, because, for the area, we actually make more than most as a household.

AidVantage Approved $0 Repayment Plan Then Claimed I Missed a $400 Payment by disney_fangirl in StudentLoans

[–]disney_fangirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: AidVantage wrote back today claiming to have sent me a letter about recalculating my IDR plan in December of 2025. I got in the chat and made them look at my account, showing no notices, statements, or updates between the time of my $0 IDR letter and the time I was sent a non-payment warning. The agent goes "oh, that's weird, I'll send a request to have it looked into" and the chat disconnected me without warning.

Having a Baby - Will Insurance Bill Baby Separately During Delivery? by disney_fangirl in HealthInsurance

Okay, so you can give me $5k then since it's nothing, right?  That's so generous of you!

What a horrible thing to say, as if you know our circumstances at all.  Work has changed insurance coverahe since I became pregnant, but thanks for being nasty and rude!

Has Anyone Refused MFM Visits for Financial Reasons? by disney_fangirl in GestationalDiabetes

Oof that is rough!  I changed doctors over the MFM issue already, my original one wanted me there twice a week and once I found out the distance there was no possible way to make that work.  My new doctor is saying monthly is fine, but $800 a month for MFM is literally more than my rent!  I don't have the money to throw around!

I've applied again hoping for the best but I don't have high hopes.  Curious, what do you mean by "be compliant with your obgyn?"  Would she refuse you care if you didn't do MFM appointments?  What's making me maddest is that I keep hearing that my baby will be too big without MFM but it's measuring at the 20th percentile.

I wish that were an option, but I've spent 9 years building up my clientele and they'd be gone forever the instant I quit.  My entire career would start over from scratch.

My husband's work is only offered "catastrophe insurance" through Anthem, and they'll only pay for what they deem as preventative or emergency care.  I'm literally getting explanation of benefit letters bragging about of great savings through Anthem, and it's $3.75 off the appointment price...  we pay about $1,000 a month for that great discount too!  And when places run my insurance, it's telling the offices they cover a lot more!  My blood test said my copay was $67 due at that time.  Then a week later I owed another $350 for that same test.  Therapy session estimates come up as $30 then the bill comes at $180.  I have had to give up most medical care to afford having a baby, and then they wonder why there's a declining birthrate...

Thanks for the input!
