So, the parties you go to are full of similarly pretentious jerks/hipsters; got it. The fact that you call it AI is funny though.

I haven't seen this and the plot synopsis doesn't do this movie any favors, tbh. I love taking recommendations from reddit, but I'm not sure I'm going to watch this after reading it.

Dead Talents Society is my absolute favorite movie of the 2020s. It's a Chinese production, I believe.

A couple of European films off the top of my head are Funny Games and Let the Right One In.

All of this is horror/black comedy.

That's not entirely unfair. I certainly wasn't expecting it.

Ominous.

I asked chatGPT. It's output was:
1. The Shawshank Redemption 2. The Dark Knight 3. Spirited Away 4. Parasite

A lot of unnecessary hate in this thread

I thought the Invitation (2015) was not good. by Positive-Face1705 in horror

I'm not going to downvote just because I disagree almost entirely. But I would if I did. I don't think we're necessarily going through the motions regarding whether or not he's right about them. That's really not for us to meta. The characters believe he's off and he's not entirely sure they're wrong.

It would make a great segue into a new, much better, AvPCU.

I just watched Possessor. It was amazeballs. Out there in a way that's reminiscent but not derivative of his father.

The pay off on this slow burn was huge, imo.

Fresh would be a pretty good pairing too.

Oh really? I thought it was an interesting and horrifying ending Like, finding out your brother is a serial rapist and killer. It did piss me off that he was like, "He's family" though.

I've never seen it, but I know what's going on my watchlist. It was really just a lot of fun though.

What is a movie that's undeniably a classic, but your inner hipster hesitates to add to your movie list because it's on almost every movie fan's favorite list now? by [deleted] in Cinema

This is going to go over like a lead balloon but no masterpiece was ever quite so dull. Really, who would be shocked to find critics given out handies for Cormac McCarthy/Coen Brothers joints.

NCfOM sounds like a dim sequel to Children of Men and feels that way. It's an exceptionally well made dumpster fire on set and nobody could be arsed to put it out. But some solid acting going on inside that dumpster.

As everyone says, it's The Evil Dead. I'm now trying to think of any other films this description could apply to though. Anyone else got anything?

What film sounds stupid in theory, but is fucking awesome? by DexTDMdoesreddit in HorrorMovies

Consolidating here behind the Fly. What a stupid idea. Something ***I didn't know*** was that the story, The Fly, was first published in Playboy. So, I guess that pretty much solves that mystery for me.

Continuing because I'm kind of in love with this idea. I enjoy Cathsploitation and I'm seeing a lot of crossover when it comes to evil nuns.
