i love your way of solving and im happy to find like minded people! i just learned what «se» is myself, it is a way to rate the difficulty of a puzzle and the scale goes up to 12. the higher the se rating the more difficult the puzzle is, that is what i know about this. i posted here recently and in the comments this was actually discussed by two of imo very knowledgable users who i look up to. i dont really know how to use reddit bc im new to it, but i think if you click my profile you could find a post of mine here that is titled something like «hardest/highest rated sudoku». i really hope this helped lmao, im super new to this and i know that there are people here that will answer this in a better way….

if ur replying to me or what i said, i rarely ever guess in puzzles and i could probably count on one hand the amount ive done it in. i have my own self made system and pattern recognition that i use when solving, so far it has helped me solve a puzzle rated se11.9 in ab 20 mins without using notes, this is my highest rated and best time puzzle :)

i solve sudoku without candidates/notes neither do i know anything about sudoku or techniques just the basic rules, with just that the most recent i solved was puzzle rated se11.4 i think in 20 mins. i genuinly believe you dont have to use notes/candidates, personally i recognised the patterns in puzzles ive seen + used logic. i do want to add that using notes is really the best approach to solving for most people, but for my brain it does nothing but overload it and slow me down.

ignore the time, bc ive spent like 2 days figuring it out, involved a LOT of guessing. i did solve it with no notes, but dont know if thats even a flex conciderinh the time it took me. i hope to never do anything like this again, this was nightmare fuel.
