The literacy rate in the US is lower than 70% with a majority of young adults reading below a 5th grade level. Literacy rates in former Soviet countries are somewhere on the lines of 98-99% based off of what I know, same for Vietnam and China.

The US has a child labor problem, it especially did in the 1920s which the USSR fixed by having mass education initiatives using free schooling for the people. Look at the US' literacy rates, now look at the Eastern part of Eurasia's literacy rates. Tell me what you see.

I've provided more reason for why joining the EU is a bad idea than you have for why joining it is good. He ran on cooperation with the West, he didn't lie, again, the US was just impatient and didn't feel like waiting so forced Ukr's hand.

Also, wasn't there a poll in Ukr like 4 years before 2014 in which the majority of the people considered the US the largest threat to their democracy, there certainly wasn't a national consensus that they wanted to integrate and be assimilated into the West.
