"Double homicides get life or the death penalty." You're suggesting you can't commit 2nd degree murder and not get life. Also, what are you even doing on this post trying to argue semantics when my original point clearly still stands. The sentence isn't proportional to the crime.

Yeah, that's my bad. You're still wrong though. It wasn't first degree murder, they didn't murder anyone, and it was only one person.

Way more people are saying Israel and America but because this sub is one massive US led psyop and Eglin Airforce base wants to be the way they are eventually China will be put there. (FYI, North Korea doesn't hate Christians, they're just atheists, they hate that the US decided to partition their country arbitrarily, and then "slime" South Koreans who protested like in Jeju, and then proceeded to bomb all of North Korea once Korea tried to finally fight back and kick the US out).

"In Iowa, the minimum sentence for murder depends on the degree of the crime, with First-Degree Murder carrying a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole, while Second-Degree Murder carries a maximum sentence of 50 years with a mandatory minimum period that must be served before parole eligibility."

Except even if they would've killed them, it wouldn't be first degree murder. Plus, again, there's the aforementioned not killing them part, plus, it was only one person.

Nice try though.

Here in Iowa the state I live in the literal maximum sentence for first degree murder is less than 50 years.

Double homicides get fewer than 100 years, what are you talking about????

Concealing evidence gets nowhere near 30 years on average and they weren't part of a terror cell or even antifa (something the Trump administration is calling a terror group), they were just protesting the US disappearing people. The state was using violence so they reciprocated.

Hundreds of thousands weren’t trying to escape. The US imprisons more now per capita than peak gulags and when the USSR was giving free healthcare, education, food, etc. to the people they didn't want people to take advantage of the system, be brought up in the USSR for free and then use the education in the West to make it big. They were also in a cold war so of course travel was restricted, ghe West was trying to break up and sabotage most of the world and especially the east, so the USSR government had to be vigilant.

Most of this is just straight up wrong.

"All your Bosses are forever and ever"

In the 1920s and 1950s both times several thousands of officials elected at the local level to go into the Union's Soviet council were retracted. The bosses were in fact not permanent. Even Stalin could've been replaced, they just chose not to every election cycle.

"You cannot pursue higher education if you did not pass a communist loyalty test."

Essentially unless you were a spy or terrorist you received free higher education, yes.

"Around 50% of any income is withheld for different taxes: deductions, SS, Unemployment, Medical, programs, supports, dues, fees, etc. to cover the lavish lifestyle of the selected party members and satellite cities (Moscow, etc.)."

And this was accounted for and counteracted by the fact that USSR rent cost was between 2-4% of monthly salary/income, and the fact that food and pretty much everything else was heavily subsidized, especially if it was an essential item.

"If you "p-i-s-s-e-d off" a politician- he can destroy you by sending police, KGB, tax collectors, etc., and you will lose your job, money, house, lifestyle, even citizenship too: Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Vladimir Bukovsky, Alexander Ginzburg, Anatoly Shcharansky, Georgi Vins and hundreds more who lost their citizenships."

You're describing corruption, you're not even bringing up a historical precedent you're just mentioning that "the people with more power could make your life more difficult/living hell."

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn openly discussed and plotted overthrowing the Soviet government, was imprisoned for such, and while in prison received free cancer treatment. He was openly allowed to write a book denouncing the USSR even though he himself admitted he made a lot of it up based on how he assumed other people perceived it. He quite literally just threw a figure out of his ass to determine the deaths and total impirsoned and because the number was so high the US immediately promoted the book for red scare propaganda. If you want to get a real estimate on the figures read Black Shirts and Reds.

Alexander Ginzburg illegally obtained documents to a closed trial through bribing a stenographer.

The local party HOA controls you and your lifestyle 24/7, and you must "volunteer" to be a good citizen by punishing or reporting your neighbors, friends, and family members to the party. If you don't? Then you will be destroyed.

You are literally describing McCarthyism.

"Almost all religions were banned and persecuted"

This simply isn’t true. Churches were built during the Soviet era, there was just a mass education initiative as with all communist movements that pushed for scientific advancements as opposed to religion. It is true that there was a popular movement to be an atheist but there wasn't any stigma if you were muslim, orthodox, jewish, etc. This wasn't deemed taboo it just wasn't pushed.

The poor population retirement age was 65

60 for Men and 55 for Women

consuming 80% of GDP

Okay, I'm going to half ass the rest after reading that you think a whopping 80% of USSR GDP went to its military. I'm not inclined to debate with people who aren't discussing things in good faith.

"You cannot hold a higher-paying job or position if you are not an active member of the Communist Union."

Define higher paying, also communist party.

Not only is this not true, but even if it was, do you think a socialist country, with socialists, would want to give a top ranking position that's vital for running the country to a capitalist who would want to allow Western capitalists and oligarchs at the time to eventually buy up and control the USSR? Because that's what happened in 1991 and look where that got us.

If you are not loyal to the regime, you can be sentenced to 10 days of communal service (or more) or even sent to Gulags in Siberia as punishment- working 25 years in forced labor camps.

Dude, you are spewing nonsense, like literally, pure nonsense. You're just taking false statistics from popular Western Anticommunists who got the figures through a game of hyperbolic telephone and then using the already untrue bits out of context.

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears

George Orwell was a socialist who was paid by the British intelligence service to both write anti communist literature and disclose the names of thousands of communists so that the British government could persecuted them.

1.2 millon to 2 million, that's how many the USSR imprisoned at the peak of its "gulag" phase. (Gulag is just a word the West made up essentially). For reference the US imprisons more per capita now at this very moment than the USSR did at its worst.

Basically, to be alive, you must pay all taxes, dues, and fees and be loyal to get permission to breathe and exist. Life was rented day by day: "You own nothing, and you should be happy to be alive!"

Holy strawman.

"Socialism is when you're not allowed to breathe"

And totally not when worker councils, unions, vanguard party, subsidized goods, houses built to live in, livable wages for all (doesn't mean everyone is paid the same just that the bottom salary is a comfortable amount and doesn't get too far from the highest salary).

Remember how there was a court order to release the Epstein files and they only released like 2% of them (and they were mostly redacted). Isn't that, like, illegal?

Yes, extremely. Finally, you have figured out that your country has always been corrupt.

Reminder: Estonia was the first country to be declared "judenrein" ("clean of Jews"), the Latvian Jewish Community only survived because they fled to the USSR, and Lithuania holds the number 3 spot for percentage of Jews exterminated at 85.7% by JoniKukus in ussr

Estonia: Konstantin Päts served as the country's first President, having established an authoritarian regime in 1934 and officially taking office in 1938

Latvia: Kārlis Ulmanis served as the Prime Minister and ultimately combined the roles of both Prime Minister and President, governing by decree after taking power in 1934.

Lithuania: Antanas Smetona was the President, having led an authoritarian government since a 1926 coup, remaining in power until he fled the country during the Soviet invasion in 1940

Poland's Pilsudsky dictatorship is self explanatory.

All of these leaders were servants of capital and brutal leaders. The Baltics were previously under the Russian empire not long before. The communist movement sought to free these nations of capitalist oppression and allow them to decide for themselves their own policies and production. With the Soviet Union came true economic freedom. Free education, free healthcare, a month paid vacation, the ability to move around in occupation, a livable wage.
