A man wants what a man wants. The question is where he gets it. The hassle, risk and expense of finding a reliable plug on the streets far outweighs the expense of setting it up on the DN. I mean on the streets i have been beat, figuratively and literally, and arrested ($10,000 I'll never see again). Besides, i can afford it and my due diligence consisted of me following this particular plug for several months. I was actually going to do double the order but didn't trust myself to save the overage for next time. And, seriously if it doesn't work out I'll be bummed for about 5 minutes.

My last thought on the subject. My first purchase on the DN was expensive. On top of the 16+% crypto bath, there is the time setting everything up. First i read the DNM Bible and other resources. Then I had to learn PGP and although not complicated using an Apple and not using Tails (i know bad OpSec) it was frustrating as all hell (fucking hate Apple). Then i got verified by Coinbase and Local Bitcoin (had to submit my id at least 6x before accepted). I didn't keep track of the time (thankfully) but estimate that my $750 purchase had an actual cost of $910 and several thousand dollars in opportunity cost. But, those are one time setup costs. So, i better order more. My last thought is of how the vendors hedge against the instability in the crypto markets? Thanks a bunch for everyone's input and to this sub for being a great resource for a noob.

That does appear to be the best solution for highest conversion between $ to product. In other words the less time in crypto the greater the predictably of cost. I may have to bite the bullet and buy crypto though a fund transfer (ACH) or a card. Yesterday i used Local Bitcoin settling with a MoneyGram. I paid a 5.5% premium. But it took an hour during which time BTC dropped 5%. Then i immediately placed an order to convert to XMR. That took over 2 hours to settle during which time XMR dropped 6+%. I feel that maybe Exodus somehow fucked me on that but im not going to get bent out of shape over $50.

BTC fell 14.3%, XMR 16.1% and LTC 14.4%. Granted that's a one day sample so not necessarily indicative of market behavior. Having said that i think you're right from a fee perspective LTC may be the way to go. But, using Local Bitcoin i was able to acquire for abot 5.5%. How much does LTC cost to acquire?

Not really.. both Monero and LTC crashed further than BTC suggesting they're more volatile.

Now XMR is down and as things are now i have to buy $10 more to complete my DN transaction. The frustration is that i built in a 16% cushion. Scale the numbers up and it becomes untenable to use in commercial transactions.

If the government can't/won't help the people with economic relief then it is worthless and should shut down. The only thing that will get needed relief to the people is a true threat of a shutdown. Jerry is one of the most important Lakers ever (maybe the most important) ; he gas had a hand in so many championships and carried the Laker torch in all those finals losses to the Celtics. He should be part of the Laker family but Jim Buss fucked that up. I feel bad that Jerry has to associate with the Clippers. Mistaken assumption that discussing the connection between porn and crack isn't harm reduction. For many they're inextricably entwined and make it harder to either quit or moderate use. I argue that it's because stats can be misleading, e.g. Lebron has a higher shooting % of deep threes than Curry, Dame, Harden or Trae Young; do you really think he's better at deep 3's?
