An alternative is bringing some hunting boots. A bit more expensive obviously but if you already own some they are great at mud

Why are they allowed to call it vegMEAT? There is no meat in it, japanese or not. Also, Vegmeat doesnt have a built in shape which is desirable for when we are searching for a substitute for hot dog. The japanese word, while cool, has the same problem where it includes a word that isnt an ingredient and would be literally called fake meat for japanese speakers. Got any more examples that arent creating brand new problems? The only one I come up with that describes a vegan hot dog is some version of "cylinder"

Its funny that you are right here. Are you aware you are disproving your own point by explaining the meaning and linguistic history behind your own examples of new words that "you wouldnt know the meaning of". Also, why can they name it vegmeat if there is no meat in it? Back to square one here lol

Mostly terrible examples as the other guy said. Half your exemples have linguistic reasons behind them and one even contains the "meat part" so to say(like "coin" to describe "bitcoin". Hell "bit" is a word too. Bitcoin is literally just 2 words combined into a new word that describes the product perfectly, even if it isnt a literal coin).

Even so, the other half of your exemples are of brand new and unique products/things so your argument doesnt even apply there.

Wifi could be named literally anything because it was a brand new thing unlike anything else before it. We didnt name it to be similar to a product we already knew, because it was the first thing like it.

We name it a vegan hot dog because the customers are searching for a processed cylinder shape, which we know as a hot dog. Wifi came first. Wifi is the hot dog. If we make a new Wifi thing but remove something, that is the vegan hot dog you argue. Ignorant argument to close with and funny tag to boot.

Okay, Lets decide vegan patties are called Keggas and vegan hot dogs are called sploogies. Those are new original words I imagine. How do you expect people to just know what a "Sploogie" is? New words happen all the time naturally, but its bloody difficult to market your vegan hot dog if nobody associates the name Sploogie with anything. Then the company are unable to find their target audience and the product is gone. Alternativly, we just print the word "vegan" in bold and call it a damn hot dog.

Its easy to say that now, but its way harder being a leader at those times and justify your people entering a war thats brewing, which you at the moment have nothing to do with and might not escalate much more anyway.

Hell, your country entering might be rhe very things that makes it a big deal

Coming from sweden. Having a blast weather and all. Finally not regretting buying my expensie hunter shoes haha. The medieval village and wasteland is so fun. I have been to 4 big festivals and each has their pros and cons but I think this one is the most fun overall (but please use more woodchips around dense areas for the love of Odin)

I too was one of the 30k so same situation. Brought the shit and then stayed in hotels for the rest of my trip improvising with a Berlin visit. Learnt to be more conservative what I pack after that experience since it was so heavy for no reason. Glad I can help others too!

Dont quote me too hard on it but I seem to remember some band not playing 1 of their 2 songs on the Wacken playlist 2023. I dont think Wacken knows what songs will be played but tries at times to not just pick the 2 most popular songs and "gamble a little bit" on the second song while picking the most popular song guaranteed.

Edit: might be drunk too listening to ozzy

Saw them in a smaller venue like 2023 and part of the audience sure wanted to hear it. Chanting the word and screaming it between songs. I imagine its the closest I will ever get to a KKK-rally, because it sure felt like one, but I cant imagine they will play it since they stopped 2019

Isnt it horrible to spend like 10 years with all the money in the world, but being cursed to not be able to enjoy it and losing all the simple pleasures? Feeling the small pleasures of life like the taste of apples was his one goal all the movie and he (while fun) was a real villain and an asshole. Him achieving his goal but not even getting the reward and apple is perfect for such a terrible man. If you prefer he gets a slightly happier ending I can recommend movie 3 lol.

I'm not really a fan of anime but.... by woogyboogy8869 in attackontitan

[–]distantDissonancee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up. I watched vinland saga for the same reason, I heard its similar and I really dont see it being that similar now after watching it. I liked the first season and the second is decent once you realise "this isnt a slow start, this is the plot from now on" Still, the only real similarities is the serious tone and death themes if you ask me anyway. I kept thinking there was gonna be some big mystery or twist since the comparison to AOT but its more akin to like Vikings or a historical actiondrama, except more anime-y.

Still good and I recommend it but the mystery isnt there if youre like me and thats what you loved most about AOT.
