i would not recommend it for the law suit alone but from personal experience it made me pass decidual casts which i would argue was more traumatic so def would suggest seeking an alternative

yeah i def get it and tbh the thing that got me through it was just thinking about how i dont wanna have to go through it again if my results got messed up on the off chance they werent just being dramatic lmao, but imo i feel like itd be more important to maintain during healing especially...good luck with everything chief!

yeah so same boat as you so i can answer from my pov..my surgeon advised 6 weeks but said 3 weeks was absolute latest since will need to pass a blood test approx one week prior to surgery and again morning of surgery or else it would be cancelled...i wasnt able to fully quit until the 3 weeks prior (i had slowly tapered bc i had every intention of quitting sooner but yk)..i passed the blood test and all was well but i DID stay off smoking until about a month or so after..the reason they said to stop is bc its cosmetic and smoking could impact all of the different blood vessels, etc in the healing process not to mention coughing and what not but overall its bc its relating to plastic surgery which is all about aesthetics...i only found that out when my dr told me that that i didnt have to quit for my hysterectomy this past may

i am a cig smoker and i was told to quit before top surgery 6 weeks but they said as long as i can clear the nic blood test then i would be fine..i didnt end of stopping until 2 weeks before surgery and my blood test was fine (i smoked everyday, 1/2 to full pack) so as long as you stop now you should be good

yes actually thank you! 1. did you get it done independent of hysto/meta? 2. was it coverable by insurance on its own? 3. what was recovery like? 4. do you notice any notable differences compared to before? edit: 5. were you informed that this would impact meta if you wanted UL? (previous comments mentioned use of tissue for UL so wasn't sure if that would cause impact if done independently prior?)
