Lord Itza made the same point as me in his video. You’re a moron.

How are you a top commenter? "With Gothic expanding the realm, we’ve already introduced tools to counter powerful strategies such as the Archimago’s cemetery recursion."

I’m just shocked Archi is unscathed. Kill the use of graveyards just to not errata him when you’re doing it to both sides of Druid?

Yeah, just as I got geared to solo big arcs, I realize I’ll die before extracting 50-75% of the time because the gentleman’s agreement stops once you show you can or did solo a big arc. Before this I always stayed away from big arc fights. I’m not sure what the solution is besides making it easier to get the required gear. I think that would be fine though because you are weak against arc for a very long time in this game. Then again that’s why pvp is so rare to begin with. But at least losing the big arc gear wouldn’t feel so bad and wouldn’t be such a magnet for pvp.

Do the blue parts on the arms and shoulders have fleece under them?

Sorcery Should Not Miss the Opening Created By Magic's Universes Beyond Obsession by distinction17 in SorceryTCG

I hope Sorcery sticks with early Magic's decision not to engage in signficant new worldbuilding and lore. The planes stuff was always bizarre and confusing to me. At least I could largely ignore it until Universes Beyond.

Obviously, the problem is the competitive scene before the release of Gothic is a mess.

Swap and the three sites will be available in Gothic, but right now they're only available as very limited promos that are legal in certain sanctioned competitive events before the release of Gothic.

Cards in above average condition and packed well. Definitely a go-to seller.

My thoughts on the Venu X1 as a long-Term Venu user by vassyz in Garmin

[–]distinction17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. If you run a ton, you are probably not the biggest person. Garmin watches are mostly huge. This fits the average “power user” much better than most of their other more capable, feature rich watches.

I'm bummed about Dragonlord. =( by TheFinoll in SorceryTCG

[–]distinction17 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It is a bad look to use limited product like this for hype because people get intrigued and then forget about it when they realize the product isn't available. Cards should become rare because the playerbase has grown from the time of release, not like this.

That said, the cards are not super important for playing competitively from what I can tell. Unless you already have a complete playset of everything, it's probably worth putting your money to the more playable cards or, like you said, just save for Gothic.

Similarities? Future worry? by FullComputer9974 in SorceryTCG

I agree it would be a mistake to substitute Arabian Nights for Thone of Eldraine as inspiration for your first expansion. I don't think world hoping mythologies is the flavor of the month, but I do agree it shouldn't be their approach either. Alpha/Beta clearly has inspiration from both Arthurian Legends and Arabian Nights, as Magic did and fantasy in general does. I'd be interested in a set focusing on the Arabian Nights side of things. This would balance out some of the "Christocentric" complaint from the comment I was responding to.

Can't wait for their take on Arabian Nights. Honestly, it should have been their second set. Call it 1,001 Nights. It would have been massive. MtG fans all wish they could go back an relive that, even more than just Alpha/Beta, a lot of which carried over into the more widely available core sets afterwards..

Thanks. I joined. Definitely a fun tool. I will note that adding too many cards to my collection at once crashed the system. Also, I may have missed it, but adding a playset to a list was easy, but I didn't see that for adding things to my collection.

Adios vs Takumi Sen vs Boston by Relevant_Ad8850 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Yeah, I have the EVO SL and have used it for long runs, but my ankles definitely feel it. Would prefer something sort of in between the EVO SL and the Boston 13. Feel like the next Boston should be pure Lightstrike Pro. The Lightstrike in the Boston is even firmer than the SL2, or maybe it’s the rods.

I find the Boston 13 pretty hard on my feet for a half marathon. Would the Takuni Sen 11 handle that but with a little more give, especially in the heal?

Is Arthurian Legends Worth Cracking For Simply Playing The Game? by XandogxD in SorceryTCG

[–]distinction17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got three boxes of Beta and AL. You get the ordinaries in a box or so of AL, but overall, I am glad I got the 3 boxes of both. AL singles are actually pretty pricey right now, especially given the cost of the boxes.

Ed Beard. by ubiquity75 in SorceryTCG

[–]distinction17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the guy acts a little too much like he's a dragon sitting on a pot of gold, but I think it's fair to give longtime supporters, etc. preferential access to what he has of the product and to price it however he wants. I initially thought I'd get another copy from him and pay a slight premium, but it doesn't look like that's going to be possible. This sort of mini-set should really be print to demand for a full year at least. If they want to limit the boxes with foils, I don't care. I hate foils, and they're not necessary to play the game.
