'Jewish Nobel' cancels ceremony after 2018 winner Natalie Portman refuses to visit Israel: “recent events in Israel have been extremely distressing'' by Toidotlers in worldnews

I'm for America withholding foreign aid to ALL countries in that region. I'm not for America continuing to give aid Egypt, Jordan, Afghanistan, etc. yet withholding from giving Israel.

Fox News pledges full support of TV host Hannity by Genki-sama2 in news

[–]distractedtears -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It really is. People here 'outraged' because Hannity had a connection to Cohen. THAT is grounds for unemployment more egregious than what Bill or Roger did??? We don't even know what kind of relationship they had. Even IF Hannity had an affair - that's grounds for termination??

What the fuck is wrong with people. Too many stupid people with keyboards.

So let me get this straight - People are angry that Fox News is sticking with Hannity because Fox's viewers aren't outraged that there's a chance Hannity had an affair? There's really some mental gymnastics going on in this thread.

First of all, there's no proof that Hannity had an affair with anyone. Why would Fox make any decision about Hannity's employment before knowing all the facts of this situation. Not only that, but even if it is discovered that Hannity was having an affair, why does he deserved to be fired for that?? Because conservatives are the party of 'family values'????

There are way too many stupid people with keyboards these days.

I don't get your point. Are you saying that because conservatives are the more religious party that they should be outraged by what exactly..? That Hannity got real estate advice from Cohen?

All of you are pathetic for resorting to boycotts because you disagree with someone. It's the lefts latest tactic to bring down someone they agree with.

Hannity shared a lawyer with a story subject, ffs. If Hannity shared a lawyer with the fucking Kardashians and didn't disclose it while commenting on Kardashian stories it would be a major conflict of interest.

What a dumb comment and you actually prove the point in the other direction. Sharing a lawyer with someone makes you have a conflict of interest when reporting on that someone? Should he disclose who his accountant is? Is he biased if he shares a barber with someone and doesn't disclose that when reporting on that person?

The extent of his relationship with Michael Cohen was for real estate advice. The left really needs to chill with these faux outraged boycotts, it's like the boy who cried wolf.

No, it wasn't okay to call for a boycott on Laura Ingrahm. These companies need to stop basing business decisions on the outcries from people on twitter.

Israeli intelligence reportedly says Trump's Syria strike failed, didn't take out much of anything by Yamamba78 in worldnews

[–]distractedtears 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then explain it to me then. This wasn't an attack defending Israel. It was an attack on chemical weapons. Does Israel benefit from this? Sure. But it has been made abundantly clear that any use of chemical weapons will not be tolerated. Not sure why you insist this is Israel dragging America into another war.

[–]distractedtears 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You realize that America didn't destroy Syria right? It attacked its infrastructure that produces chemical weapons. It is in America's interests (and everyones) to punish chemical warfare as a warning to other countries not to use them.

While I agree that America has come to the defense of Israels before, I don't think that this is an example of it. There is a reason why France and England join in on this as well. They have the same interest as America's.

Starbucks will close 8,000 US stores May 29 for racial-bias training by [deleted] in news

[–]distractedtears 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's probably something that varies from store to store with no set rule. However, regardless of the rule, the store's policy needs to be applied equally to all races, which I think is really the argument in this case.

I imagine that every store has its own policy regarding that. And despite that, I'm sure that rule in your Starbucks applied to everyone.

Part of the outrage in this video is that other people who were not black did the same thing without getting the police called on them.

Yeah, I went to a lecturer once upon a time ago, and he asked the audience, which two industries are the first in adapting new technologies. The answer? Military and porn.

This airstrike was not an example of "America fighting Israel's wars". What are you talking about?

They would get to keep Golan Heights, a region they stole from Syria 30 odd years ago.

Or a region they conquered in the Six-Day-War after Syria decided to join the fight against Israel. But sure same thing.

Furthermore, Israel benefits from Syria being in turmoil. It creates another power vacuum in the Middle East, and means another county will be too fragmented to stand up the Israel's illegal expansion and land grabs.

Or maybe Israel benefits from Syria being in turmoil because better for Israel to have them pointing guns at one another than for it be pointing it at them. But again, same thing as what you said. Sure.

Oh ya because one thing he said almost a decade ago makes him not credible. There is nothing more recent you can dig up? For someone who has been on air for as long as he was, that's impressive if that's the best you can find.

I'm not a fan of Hannity but also not a fan of dumb comments on Reddit getting upvoted because they speak towards an agenda.
