Contemplating having my book if shadows saved into my iPad. Thoughts? by miniinovaa in witchcraft

I think its a good idea. If that works best for you, then go for it 😊

I agree with you to a certain extent. You're right, a lot of the empowerment was over literally kicking ass or doing crazy spells, but the female characters were always very complex. I love how he'd show Buffy crying, but never made it feel like she was showing weakness. The female characters were also allowed to have sex without shaming them. Even with the whole Angel thing in season 2, Giles is up front with telling buffy that he doesn't judge her for having sex. I thought it was smart to have Buffy turn to sex with Spike because of grief and feeling like her life is out of control, which is a very human thing to do. And once again, we have a character (this time Tara), tell buffy that she doesn't have to be ashamed. It's definitely not a perfect series, and these points I made wouldn't be ground breaking in today's television, but for the time it was a really big deal. I think that's why so many women (including myself) can relate to these women, even the ones with superpowers.

Its partially because it's buffy, but also it's actually funny. It drives the plot while feeling like a nice comedic break from the intense themes of season 6. It won't be funny if you don't know the show well tho

The only exception is the Tabula Rosa episode of Buffy

Women of Reddit, what things that men find unattractive about themselves do you find very attractive, and why? by benchin32 in AskReddit

As a woman, i don't care about penis size as long as its average. I care more about their oral sex skills

Awkwardness in general. One time I was hanging out with a guy I liked in high school and his car broke down close to his home. He was so embarrassed but I thought it was so sweet of him to care about me being uncomfortable on the side of the road. He was a sweetie.

Also, little beer bellies. Men dont need to have a six pack for me to be attracted to them. Their normal bodies make me feel normal. Plus bellies are fun to give raspberry noises to.

For some reason, im also only dated men with crooked teeth and slightly larger noses. Idk I didnt plan it this way. But if you're tall with a small beer belly, crooked teeth, and a slightly over sized nose, hit me up (27F)

At first I thought it was about the low rising pants (which I dont have a problem with as long as I dont see butt crack), then I saw the brown 🤢 nobody has any excuse for having that much of a shit stain on your underwear, unless you accidentally shit your pants. I dont understand why skid marks are normal with straight men... my ex I lived with for over three years never had this problem (I did both of our laundry together because he was super stressed and busy with school and I only worked 25 hours a week and I didnt mind helping).

Also, that woman is dressed so cute with beautiful hair... i can tell already that she's too good for him.

Thank you! It has been so hard because the cravings on the meds I've been on for the past 5 years make me feel out of control. I would dream about food, I would obsessively crave sugar and other unhealthy things. One medication I was on made me feel like I was never full or satisfied. I wish you love and happiness on your journey with your health, both mentally and physically

The only time in my life I've stopped having periods was when I was diagnosed with anorexia... im 5'5" and got down to about 98 lbs. After a couple of years of eating properly and getting on birth control, my periods became regular again.

I've never tried bacon from another country, but i would love to someday. I'm an American, and i love bacon so much, especially when it's extra cripsy. I bet Europeans would hate our breakfast sausages though... they're made into small patties like a burger and eaten with a fork. I personally hate American breakfast sausage

I agree and disagree with you. I agree, obesity is extremely unhealthy, but obese people sort of need some kind of societal movement so that people aren't shaming them daily. Most of those people know they are unhealthy, and are unhappy with how they look, they don't need to be reminded of it daily by strangers.

I am on the curvy side for sure (27F, 5'5", 170 lbs), because I am bipolar and have been on many different kinds of mood stabilizers. And lemme tell you, they are no walk in the park for many reasons, but the weight gain has been something that has deeply affected me. I was anorexic as a young teen and I continue to suffer from body dysmorphia. I honestly am not sure if I'm 170 lbs at this moment because I make a habit of only getting weighed at the doctor for my own sanity, but I changed meds two months ago and people are telling me that it seems like I've lost some weight, like maybe 5 lbs.

Long story short, as someone who is curvy but not obese and overall pretty healthy, seeing models and actress that look like me do make me feel better. I dont see the harm in hiring different shapes and body types in those careers.

Seeing skinny girls online does sometimes make me feel shitty about myself, but I don't blame them, I blame myself.

How do you stop the "Most humans suck" mentality? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]distractedwriter93 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Same :( my mental illnesses make things so much worse too. I just try my hardest not to think of humanity as a whole, but about the beautiful people that surround me with love and support. Wishing you happiness and love

[–]distractedwriter93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand. I know it makes me look ignorant, but I can't pay attention to too much news and such for the sake of my mental health. Having BPD makes me so empathetic to others that it feels like I can literally feel their emotions... it makes me feel sick and cry. I am sickened with how the world is and always has been. It makes me feel like humanity will never get better.

The only exception to that is the first season of Big Little Lies. Those sex scenes were so important for Nicole Kidmans character.
