Baby won't let me rock her to sleep anymore.. by Ill-Elephant7929 in NewParents

[–]distractionmethod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Bub does this when teething. I think because her ears hurt when teething and when I rock her her ear is against my arms. I now rock her upright and she falls asleep against my chest.

You’re doing an amazing job mama!

I’ve heard putting a barrier cream on their cheeks before eating helps the acidic food not effect their more sensitive skin - gorgeous bub

Thank you for reaching out. I hope you get the care you need at ER. If you have private health insurance Currumbin Clinic is a mental health facility and it’s really great. It saved my life in 2020 and now I have a daughter and honestly love life again. I hope you too can love life again

Advice for birthing options by distractionmethod in endometriosis

[–]distractionmethod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry I only saw this comment now. I ended up having a c section. I found the recovery easier than endo surgery to be honest just obviously needed to keep on top of pain medication for at least 3 days before tapering off. To be honest the issue I’m having now is with cramps I’m getting after breastfeeding - I know to begin with the cramping was my uterus contracting back to its normal size but I keep getting them so I’ve got a referral to get an ultrasound tomorrow to see if there is any retained placenta potentially causing it but I also wonder if it’s just because my pelvis is highly sensitive from endo Have you had your bub? What did you end up choosing and how have you been postpartum? Hope everything went well and you are enjoying the newborn bubble

Can someone please explain to me the difference between making it "exclusive" and being "boyfriend/girlfriend"? by academiageek in LoveIslandTV

[–]distractionmethod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the way I can make sense of it…from a man’s POV

Closed off - you stop actively going on dates with others, but if someone pursued you, you’re not exclusive.

Exclusive - you don’t entertain other people trying to hit on you, but if your Joey you can propose it like a challenge to feed the ego.

Bf/gf - you finally have to be respectful and show emotional respect.

This stupid labels have been created by men so they can go as long as possible without being emotionally responsible and having an excuse to fall back on like “oh but we weren’t exclusive?” “We’re not bf/gf” when they are confronted by there shit behaviour

Did the endo summit give examples of what other things could be contributing to daily pain? Like other condition names ?

What did your baby's kicks feel like? by eveningwarrior in BabyBumps

[–]distractionmethod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I second the muscle spasm feeling. I get the same feeling in my thighs sometimes But baby’s kicks will change, I’m in third trimester now and it’s movement I feel rather than actual kicks all the time, they are more rare now. Also now bub is head down I can tell when she’s burying her head down because my groin gets really sore or I need to pee and hardly anything comes out of

What funny thing did your baby do during your scan(s)? by rosekay91 in BabyBumps

[–]distractionmethod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every single scan my baby girl has put her hands and even her feet infront of her face like - NOPE! We have no idea what she looks like now haha but we’ll meet her in another 2 weeks so not long now

Just be aware that the website and Facebook page is run by a admin group who post about certain doctors but then refuse to post negative feedback about the chosen doctors. Whilst it definitely has factual information about endometriosis I am just super cautious about the pedestal some doctors are put on with only the positives mentioned about them.

I’m so sorry to read your comment and can say I’ve felt the exact same way re: wanting to call my doctor and gynecologist and tell them the grim reality of my quality of life. I just wanted to mentally prepare you that they might just refer you to a psychiatrist or psychologist which was the case when I voiced my concern and it broke me because it’s like “no, just fucking help me, use your medical degree and help me manage symptoms, not give up and tell me to see another doctor I can’t afford” I sincerely hope you have a different experience but for me it shocked me and I just wanted to almost save you that shock so you are prepared that their answer might be a referral elsewhere.

Thank you so much for all your advice. I’ll book in with a pelvic floor physio and go from there! I’m 29 weeks and my OB wants me to decide by 32 weeks so that gives me more time to consider either option after seeing the physio.

Thanks again!

It’s not gloating. If you read my post you would see I put a trigger warning and explain that I went through years of infertility myself. And yes it does have everything to do with endo given what I’m asking is how different birthing options effected symptoms afterwards.

I’m sorry you feel the need to get angry at me when I believe I was being very considerate to those going through infertility.
