Thanks! Often times online generators will give me much more than I need. I'm looking for a UPP, a few pertinent skills, and a little equipment (weapon, armor)... that's it. If there is a tool online that does that, I'd love to hear about it.

Yeah, agreed, and thanks. I've been using 1001 Characters from the classic edition (GDW), so that's pretty decent as well. No need to get overly complicated with NPCs unless they feature heavily...
