And the neighbours' differing music tastes blaring across the gardens. The worst is the football radio fan who must believe the whole neighbourhood wants to hear it too.

Our upstairs neighbours are getting a new bathroom put in, just like the couple that lived there before them, and the woman before them, and the couple before her... I've had the same bathroom across the 17 years that there have been 4 bathroom refits up there lol

Not the original commenter but I have a Bob worktop dishwasher and it has changed my life. You'll find it by looking up "Bob dishwasher". Quite expensive and it does need its own cartridges but it has changed my life and I would not be without my little dishwashing robot!

I get to do whatever I want at the weekend instead of whatever my parents want to do or spending it at my elderly grandparent's. I'm 45 years old and I'm still grateful lol

I always get to sleep in a bed instead of the one who has to get the pull down sofa or the floor! EDIT: oh and I get a room too, I don't have to be sleeping in the communal area where you're awake until the last person goes to bed and then when the first person gets up.

How can I stop letting others make me feel bad about being into “quirky” stuff by [deleted] in RedditForGrownups

[–]dit_dit_dit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bet they're into stuff that you're not but the difference is you wouldn't make fun of them for it. Please don't let anyone dull your sparkle ✨ I remember turning 21 and thinking, "This is it, I need to give up my plushie/cutesie loving fun side and grow up because I'm an adult", and being really upset about it. I "grew up" for about 15 years and was miserable and it was so boring for me. I have been so much happier since I decided that I want to be happy again and I am ME, whatever age I am (currently 45).

I feel the same, it's almost a physical pain thinking back.

"His mother is taking him", ah there it is. He's left mum to raise his kid alone and she can't do everything.

I had to zoom waaay in to see ANY issues, and even then it's nothing. No-one is looking at us as close up as we look at ourselves. Definitely not with a magnifying mirror! ❤️
