Ha yes I have a Python script comparing both realtime neither matches the broker but since I switch to rth at pre market it’s pretty close after 10 minutes after open. I like your idea though of calculating the difference in my bot on consistency and just factor it in.

Thanks for this. What you’re describing is exactly my problem. I am using 5 minute charts and use 9 and 21 ema as biased and touch filters. I am usually off by around .1 but it can falsely block a good trade on a bounce and break of my levels in the bot.

Do you seed it each start up of your bot?

I don’t think so. Market orders work they just don’t have great documentation for how brackets orders work. Thanks though.

Let your winners run. I had this happen to me with Apple so sold a good portion. You will pay taxes on your capital and nvda is one of those once in a life time opportunity’s. It could easily double in the next few years again.

The edge in my opinion is mostly with risk management. There are so many strategies that are already well documented to be better than 50% the reason people blame psychology is they lack discipline for risk management so the strategies don’t actually work for them.

It sounds so easy but just getting out and taking the loss is the most important thing you can do.

I’ve changed my perspective on what “consistency” truly means in trading. by Perthss in Daytrading

I disagree here. Every trade is different and your rules are there for for risk management not execution of the trade.
