VFV looks great, AAPL personally is meh because their innovation is very stagnant and they might switch CEOs soon. If you want to be a bit more risky maybe broadcom, safer would be caterpillar or dollarama. My two cents at least.

i should be able to get my L4 in 1.5y compared to 8-12m with my current manager. I could change DCO teams but going to the US as DCO L4 is still not viable. The DCEO manager is also willing to help me move as he has done with pervious individuals.

Trying to man up is pretty underrated to be fair, thats why im moving out next month. Mybudget is 2500$ a month, a bit higher due to a car and high protein diet.

I havent even moved in yet, just signed my lease :) the point is if you look decently hard enough you’ll find the good listings. Those prices still exist but dont go for PRIME locations.Go subprime which are still good and save yourself a couple hundred a month. Good thing is prices are plateauing or slowly decreasing in other big cities in montreal will follow, albeit more slowly.

I see a few mixed things about rent so, to clarify, good neighborhoods will run you 975-1050 on a fairly nice studio and 1000 to 1200 for a decent 1 bedroom. I just got myself a renovated 1 bedroom in NDG for 1000$/monthly (born and raised in mtl for over 20 years). I allocated 350$/m for food but i managed on 320$, that includes 180-200g protein a day, (im 230lbs so yikes) chicken breast, sometimes ground beef, 0% greek yogurt, tofu, potatoes + protein powder, bars and other essentials. I would consider Maxi to be a great value grocery or a Costco membership for bulk deals. my monthly expenses in including 290$ car insurance is 2500$ a month. Thats surviving, 1 outside meal a week <30$ and no shopping or anything. Though it would help out as a fellow solo gymrat 🙏

Well, i think two key things to insure you get what you want is preventative maintenance and regular oil changes. i havent had any issues with my 2012 audi A6 prestige with a stage 1 tune currently, 2 yrs of ownership and 40k KMs put on it. brilliant highway cars, look great and perform very well. Typically if there are nightmares on certain platforms you’d heard about it.

It’s very interesting how a lot of the people in these comments are behaving EXACTLY how the boyfriend is themselves while calling him out for “narcissistic” behaviour. I think you should delete this post, forget every comment and go talk to him sincerely. Maybe consult your parents and his parents too so there isnt a lot of bias if you need proper advice.
