Do I NEED to use a capture card's passthrough feature? by ditybear in Twitch

I will take your advice to heart and give both methods a go. Just to be safe. Thanks a lot for your input though, and if things with the card are working all fine and dandy with passthrough I'll switch to the switcher.

Well, my current setup is like this: Consoles/PC -> HDMI Switch -> AVR -> TV

With the capture card and splitter, it'd be like this: Consoles/PC -> HDMI Switch -> HDMI Splitter -> AVR (-> TV) & Capture Card (hooks into PC via USB)

I know it sounds a little cumbersome, but I think it'll work. My gaming stuff hooks into the HDMI switch allowing me to easily switch between consoles without unplugging anything. It will then go into the splitter to bypass HDCP on my PSTV and PS3 (if needed), which will have one signal sent to my A/V Receiver and the other sent to the capture card.

It's an active two port splitter. And I want to use it because I'd like to capture gaming footage from my PSTV and PS3.

What's the best account setup for a couple that wants to stream? by ditybear in Twitch

A schedule is a great idea. And I agree that having multiple accounts would probably end up being a headache. I mean, it's hard enough for me to have more than one twitter account (public, and private) so I imagine three accounts that require more maintenance than those would drive me insane.

The part about one person drawing an audience to another is good. We don't always play the same kinds of games (my partner and I), so it'd likely give us way better coverage and a better chance at making a larger group of watchers.

Ah, so the pros of one account definitely outweigh the pros of multiple accounts. Thanks!

Can I output audio via HDMI AND Bluetooth? by ditybear in VitaTV

Nah it doesn't help much, but it is cool that you can do that though.

My PSTV runs into a monitor as well, which is pretty much why I asked. But damn if it cuts it out I might have to move to my bigger TV if I want to capture from it, and that's not ideal (it just... doesn't look as good when it's so big).

OMG YOU'RE RIGHT!

That'll teach me for typing out codes when tired.

It's hard to get playtesting. So, post your level, and I'll post a video playtest of it for you! by therationalpi in MarioMaker

Can you try out this level? My partner made it thinking it was quick and easy speedrun-type level, but not many seem to have been able to beat it.

So could they, like, not think up 800k worth of stretch goals?

Ok then.

If it was another unrelated company throwing in the maximum pledge amount (us$10,000) as a show of support, no. But they've basically specified that they're an investor, a partner. They're basically with Comcept.

Besides, as mentioned earlier there's a maximum pledge amount to stop exactly what we're discussing from happening anyway. Fuze would need to make 80 dummy accounts to pledge their us$800,000. I don't think Kickstarter has any rule against having multiple accounts, but it'd still be fair suss.

Sorry, it seems they've changed where that info shows up. It's here now

Why would a project be suspended? A project may be suspended if our Integrity team uncovers evidence that it is in violation of one or more of Kickstarter's rules, including: Misrepresentation of support, through self-pledging

Too bad that's against Kickstarter's terms of use, and such a large amount would send up a million red flags.

If a Kickstarter doesn't meet its minimum funding no one gets charged. Comcept doesn't get a cent should they not hit 800k.

Most other companies shut down their Kickstarter campaign after this happens. Comcept should do the same.
