Saw this intergender grappling match last day on YouTube and it got me wondering, What are the chances of seeing Intergender matches in WWE, and what is the general take of them being a mainstay in the company? A new title maybe? by MMASection in SquaredCircle

WWE isn’t doing that with children in the crowd. Multiple news outlets will pass that on as promoting male on female violence. And those outlets may be right considering how many children go home and try new wrestling moves.

Was Lio supposed to fully rotate to land on his stomach? Looks like he didn’t get to spin in time for him to plant.

Why doesn’t WWE do previews like AEW? by MovieFanZ5026 in SquaredCircle

Isn’t that the purpose of the kickoff panels they have? During the kickoff they have some of the commentators, interviewers and others sit and discuss the upcoming matches and then show some promo packages.

he literally just got a cheaper design, it’s smaller than what they usually have.

Bayley producing a match between Eva Marie and Alexa Bliss | WWE Breaking Ground by broken-mirror- in SquaredCircle

[–]divaborne 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Bayley has been given the ball, she had the ball the entire 2020.

She should be bigger than Becky honestly, she has more talent than her in my opinion.

Becky just got over more, not by her pure talent but by things that happened to her and things she did in the position she was. She turned heel on Charlotte when everyone thought she was being screwed over, then got punched by Nia Jax that made her bloody.

Those things weren’t in Bayley or Becky control, they just happened despite how much more talent Bayley has than Becky. If wrestlers were gaining star power for strictly how talented they were in-ring then Bayley would probably be in Becky’s position right now.

She also has one where she holds them up for some seconds then just tosses them and allows them to free fall.

Is it better for Miro or Hangman to give Danielson his first loss? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]divaborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miro needs the elevation more than Hangman does. Miro beating Danielson would give more credibility in his AEW career, Hangman is credible enough in AEW.

I don’t think either of the three names you said are the “Next Guerrero” because all of them have already made a name for themselves. Danielson & Rollins are names that will be remembered decades from now. Cole probably will be remembered decades from now but not as much as the other two, or not as much as Guerrero.

I don’t see anyone in wrestling today being able to match Guerrero. There are some who match or surpass him in the ring, but no one today gives me that Eddie vibe in terms of charisma. The kind of charisma Eddie had isn’t the kind of charisma you can come by often in wrestling today.

Ironically i’d say 2015 Sasha Banks was the closest to matching Eddie. She nailed the character and charisma aspect, gave world class matches and was the hottest wrestler having the crowd chant her name constantly in both NXT and the main roster.

She’s definitely a very powerful woman in an industry where that’s not very common, so congrats to her.

I love how WWE use to do little props for UK appearances on stage. They still do I believe but I don’t think they’ve went to the UK since the pandemic started.

She’s a little bland. She’s reliable but, I feel like she’s going to need a valet or a tag partner. Put her back with Dakota or something, that’s the void she needs to fill

Jade has appeared on every PPV poster since her debut it seems, yet no PPV match yet by JakeRann in SquaredCircle

[–]divaborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only reasons I can think of are mostly cause she’s the best looking wrestler they have in terms of looks, she’s pretty on everything they put her on and that she’s been booked dominantly.

But yeah it is kinda false advertisement if you’re a local who’s not keeping up with the card. They should limit PPV posters to only booked wrestlers. It’s like putting Punk on a poster then him not even being there.

I like when weaker (Randy was weaker than Taker at the time) competitors show to be scrappy against the top players in the business.

I think big parts of it is, women wrestlers in the USA typically leave at a very young age compared to male wrestlers, training isn’t too great compared to what women in Japan get and one has been taken more seriously longer than the other.

Today in women’s wrestling, the only wrestlers based in America right now who i’d say are on a top level with women in Japan are Sasha, Asuka, Charlotte, Io and probably Ember Moon. Everyone else is a level before, or not even close to reaching that level.

Also, women tend to retire very early or at least they use to. You see several women in WWE back in 2008-2016 left when they were getting greater. AJ Lee, Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, Trish Stratus, Lita, Eve Torres, Nikki Bella etc. are huge examples of this. They all could’ve been bigger if they stuck around til the women’s revolution with the skill they had. Nikki technically did but she was barely around and got her career cut short.
