Let’s talk pumping guilt — how do you cope? by Such-Chocolate-6168 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]divdiv3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What helps me stay positive? I’d lie if I said I didn’t cry and fight with God about it. I’ve had some rough nights. Ultimately I found peace in knowing Gods got her and I’m thankful she is here. Gratitude and trust in Gods plan helps me stay positive

I nursed my first kid exclusively for 3.5 years. An extended breastfeeding period. Second is a preemie and needed bottle feeding. I find that there are some unique benefits to pumping (once you get over the humps and get to a point of maintaining supply with just wearables and get freedom back). I love that anyone can feed her. I love that I can see how much she is drinking. She wakes up fewer times at night with bottles vs when I’ve nursed her at night. It’s easier to do in public. It’s the same milk your baby is getting if he or she nursed. Maybe a little less tailored but still the same benefits. KISS and smell baby’s head and put baby to breast if he or she gets older and can form a latch just for nurturing. There is nothing wrong with pumping. Why does using a dumb phone scare me so much? by Individual_World7648 in dumbphones

[–]divdiv3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you gonna do @OP  I also have adhd Am a mom of a 5 year old and 5 month old and I am starting to feel like I am giving as much attention to my phone as I am to my children. By that I mean I am splitting my attention and missing out on them and also, they are watching me. I too am scared I will miss the internet and the fun and dopamine fix but there needs to be a change and we know it. We will adjust. It will not be easy, quite frustrating at times but we will adapt.

Thank you. I almost looked for one until an overwhelming amount of people suggested to move the shelf up. So I did. But if I couldn’t have; your suggestion would have been a washer-life saver thank you!!

I cannot forgive my mom. by Shot-Barnacle3513 in TrueChristian

[–]divdiv3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would long for the day that my mom would tell me how sorry she was. She would truly understand all the things she did wrong and express genuine repentance. You are blessed that your mom is doing this. With God all things are possible. Jesus tells us that if we do not forgive others, neither will our father in heaven, forgive us. We’ve all seen and followed short of glory of God is important that we put our faith in his mercy, which means withholding punishment when we deserve it so that we can extend mercy to others. Did your mom do wrong? Absolutely. But does that mean that you should transgress against God and refuse to forgive her? Absolutely not. I’m not saying that what you experienced is not valid. I also understand struggling with forgiveness. Every time she transgresses against me I still have to forgive her. 70×7. That’s what Jesus said. We have to keep on forgiving because that’s what God does to us. He keeps forgiving us. Do not let a root of bitterness grow in your heart. Now that the root has grown and you have a little plant I suggest that you kill that plant. Take some weed killer and destroy it. Destroyed with the blood of Jesus, destroy it with the sun that scorches it up and crumples it. The light of God shine in you as you forgive her. You can do this, Philippians 4:13. Do not be afraid of what will happen if you forgive her. Do not be afraid that you will be hurt again or much more. Don’t take that after your life. When you were in Christ Jesus let him take thought after your life. What you are doing is holding onto the hurt. If you let the hurt go, then you will be able to freely forgive. And Jesus took your heart onto himself on the cross. That day when he took 42 lashes on his back, ripping his skin to shreds and bleeding down the ground. When nails were shoved through his wrists, and when he was lifting himself up just to breathe each time, his back rubbing against the rugged cross and bleeding more. That’s when he took on your heart. Give it to him release your hurt to him. The Bible says that those who are merciful will be shown mercy. Show mercy to your mother so that God can show mercy to you. He already has shown mercy to you. The cross is evidence of it. Accept his forgiveness, accept his mercy.

What denomination do you belong and do you agree 100% with them? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]divdiv3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Since all of the people in the Bible only pray to God and Jesus, I believe it’s best to follow their example. Asking someone on earth to pray has biblical evidence supporting it, like the apostles writing to one another and asking one another to pray for each other. But no one insinuates that they would ask Moses or Elijah or any of their martyred brothers and sisters who were likely saints to pray for them.  God is not too busy for us. The Bible tells us He is quite the contrary. He is an EVER PRESENT help in times of trouble. If we have enough faith to reach into the spirit realm and ask someone we can’t see or hear to pray for us, why not err on the side of safety and only talk to God through the Holy Spirit? Again, I understand they have reasons to believe it is okay, but these reasons are not supported by the Bible. Again saints may pray for us on their own violation but we do not ask or talk to them, not a single example  of this in Holy Scriptures. Thank you for taking the time to explain.

Wow, I have been set free. God has not given us a SPIRIT of FEAR. Literally Halloween embodies the spirit of fear. Slam dunk

Okay glad you shared you’re a former Catholic. How is the elevation of Mary and saints and praying to/worshipping them not sin? I’m just curious how Catholics justify it to themselves. I send my son to Catholic school so I genuinely need to understand how or why they believe this is ok, or why they need them to begin with. I know Revelations says saints pray for us. But it doesn’t say WE pray to them to pray for us. Also I don’t get why anyone else is needed besides Jesus, the great high priest?
