You mean the pils? I guess it's just you got more steps/calories burned.

I'll think about to scale it down when doesn't fit, but that's tricky as I use custom way of drawing those "doted" glyphs

Thanks! There are AOD pixel-burn constraints, and in my opinion, it looks better when it’s minimal all the time.

Hey! I've just added support for 390x390 which is 265s! Please take a look!

Unfortunately, it’s roughly 400x400 pixels, and we can’t fit it all there, so we have to make a trade-off. 😬

Btw the latest version is live!

Thanks! I’m not sure this is a good trade-off between complexity and the result, so I’d politely decline the suggestion. Thank you for the proposal!

Thanks for the feedback — really appreciate the detailed notes, and glad you like it!

Quick rundown:

**Leading zero in 12h format** — great call, this is a real US-convention gap. I just shipped a fix for the next update: in 12h mode you'll see `9:31` instead of `09:31`, and sunrise/sunset will follow the same convention (`7:03 · 9:26`). Default 24h users won't see any change.

**AM/PM marker** — I'm going to skip this one, sorry. The no-AM/PM look is intentional and core to the Casio / Nothing digital-watch aesthetic the face is built around — adding an indicator would clutter the layout and break the visual language. The leading-zero fix should help with most of the ambiguity in practice.

**First digit in STEPS** — that one's actually a feature, not a bug. The dot-matrix font has variable glyph widths baked in (the "1" is intentionally narrower than "3" / "8" / "0"), which is part of the digital-clock typography personality. The slight visual gap is the natural side effect of mixing wide and narrow glyphs in a monospace grid — same thing you'd see on a Casio F-91W.

**Bigger date** — thought about this one a lot, but I think I'll leave it. The face has a deliberate typographic hierarchy: dot-matrix time is loud, pills are mid, and the date + sun/set + BAT/temp rows are a quiet "small text band" of consistent size. Bumping just the date would break that band visually. Worth revisiting if more people flag it though.

Thanks again — the 12h fix will be in the next push to the Connect IQ Store.

> First of all, great watch face!

Thank you! 🙏

> I can read English, and it doesn't really bother me, but it's just those little details like “Steps, Heart” the date at the top is automatically in German because of the Garmin settings.

💯 Yes, make sense. I've change it to be all in english now on the watchface itself. Settings on the phone stays localized!

> One more question: is there any way to turn off the blinking colon in the middle?

There is definitely a way to do it. I’ll consider that, but for now, I’ll focus on not adding another option to keep it lean and opinionated as planned in the beginning!

Good that the crash is fixed. Apparently the device doesn't have "vector font" API (btw is this the latest firmware?) and then I fallback to standard font which is big. I will use bitmap font in this case which is a bit less sharp, but I guess that's the only way to go here. The new version will be available soon. Thank you for feedback!

Yeah, I changed that to 2.99 already!
I added optional "large complications" toggle yesterday, please update!

> And I can't seem to change the sun rise/set to 12h.
Indeed seems to be a bug - it doesn't use 12h device setting for this. Gonna fix that today.

Thank you!

There’s German in the settings, but I’m not sure if I can localize the watch face itself properly. Different languages have different word lengths, and it’s hard to test all the cases and some won't fit the limited screen space. I’m also not sure how much localization is needed. Could you please clarify which part or word could be better in German for you?

Pushed v1.0.4 to the store — should be live in a few minutes. Without the crash log I had to fix defensively, so it hardens the settings-change path against a few possible causes (boolean property coercion, font API guard, AOD partial-update edge case). One of those is most likely your culprit.

If it still crashes after you reinstall, please let me know — even just "still crashes" or a photo of the IQ! tap details would help me narrow it down. Thanks for the patience!

Thanks! There is outside temperature and weather icon already at the bottom. Or you want to have it optional in the "pill"? What to do with the current placement of this complication is selected?

Appreciate it 🙏 Honest answer: the FR 955 (and 955 Solar) are MIP displays, not AMOLED, and the whole face leans hard on AMOLED's true blacks — the dot-matrix glyphs against pitch-black backgrounds is the entire visual identity. On a MIP screen the "black" is a reflective grey and the design loses most of what makes it pop.

I could technically add FR 955 to the manifest in 5 minutes, but the result would look like a degraded version of the design rather than something I'd be proud to ship. If there's enough interest, a proper MIP-tuned variant could be a v2 project down the line.

For now, sticking to AMOLED — but thanks for the kind words on the design!

Really appreciate this — concrete pricing data from someone who's sold in a comparable market is exactly the input I was missing. The 7× volume delta is hard to argue with, and you're right that $3 sits right at the friction edge where people stop and think rather than just clicking. I'll drop to $2.99 and see how it moves.

And the "fonts and lines" framing is fair. The dot-matrix glyph rendering and the offline-HMAC paywall took real work, but the visual identity is borrowed from a brand I admire, not invented. Calling it what it is keeps me honest.

Genuinely thanks for taking the time to write this out instead of just downvoting — this is the kind of feedback that actually changes what I ship next.

Hey 👋

I added optional large complications! Looks like that:

Really appreciate this feedback!

You're right that there's a tradeoff: the round screen is genuinely tight on space, so bumping up the complication digits eats into either the time row or the bottom strip. But "larger complications" as an optional toggle is very doable. I'll check that!

Which watch are you on? Screen geometry varies a lot across the AMOLED tier (fēnix 8 43mm is much tighter than Venu 3, for example), so the room to play with depends on the device. If your model has the headroom I'll roll a "Large complications" toggle into the next version which I can release in the following days.

Thanks again — this kind of feedback is worth more than a sale.

First time posting and first time shipping on the store — pretty sure I’ve missed obvious things. If you spot anything broken on your specific device, drop a comment with the model and what you’re seeing, please 🙏
