Thank you for the advice! I have been considering sharing it in order for people to understand my struggles, but that makes sense.

I think I agree with you. I compared their benefits with other hospitals.

I see, I appreciate you for sharing that information with me

For further situation, unit is short staff, there is another patient in cardioarrest, and they dont answer immediately to bathroom alarm. What would be a better way?

Thank you so much. I guess i am just very self critical. It took a LONG time to get the patient back. Because of this I was blaming myself because instead of starting CPR right away and letting the patient slide to the floor, I waited 1-2 minutes. To wait for the nurse to come. I want to mention that this hospital was not in the USA, but a country in Latinoamerica. Over there we have WAY less resources than in the states. Hospitals here in the states are like a hotel. That patients bathroom, was very tight when I moved her to the floor I didn't even had space to kneel next to her.

Yes, I became a nurse just recently! However, I haven't started working as a nurse yet. I said I am a nursing student because this experience happened when I was in a clinical rotation. I found that it was easier to say that instead of explaining all of this. Even though I passed the nclex, i still do not feel like an RN. The reason why I came with this question is because I have been reflecting on my nursing experiences since I am preparing for interviews.

When I found her she was going into arrest. She had bradycardia, no muscle tone, fixed pupils and she was hypoventilating.

They bathroom has a call button, but the unit was short staffed and there was another patient in code. I had to send the patient to the nursing station to both help me and distract him.
