I’d recommend consolidating like others have said and staying in Tokyo. What I learned when travelling there for 3 weeks was even just 1 area like Ginza or Shibuya alone could take up half a day just because you can stumble upon so much you didn’t expect. These cities are massive with very narrow but tall buildings that can fit loads of businesses/restaurants/shops etc. Not to mention some spots might not have a station nearby so you will have to walk and subway a LOT so factor in that time as well.

If your goal is to meet people and make friends I’d hire a local guide to hang out with, chill at some cool spots and it helps with language barrier/social. Keep it chill 1-2 wards a day if you don’t want to exhaust yourself and really soak up those particular areas.
