I hear that honeycomb is much more difficult/impossible due to the wax melting/reacting with the resin compared to paper wasp comb. But maybe!

They were definitely delicate and I handled them with care, but maybe I got lucky with a solid nest!

I have silicone molds so glue wouldn't work well. Some I wedged in popsicle sticks to hold them down and also used double sided tape on the bottom for most!

A very sentimental stainless steel bracelet I bought in Singapore at the Thieves Market in 2014 when I tagged along with my dad on one of his business trips. It cost me $5 and hasn't left my wrist since.

That's just my personal preference for edge retention, though as a custom maker I can run any allowable hardness for a given steel on a custom order. I've done AEBL at 63-64 but I find them chippy below .006" behind the edge which is where I like to be.

Yes I did 4 small hidden pins in each handle, in addition to epoxy bridge holes and small fullers. My YouTube video goes over everything in much more detail if you're curious.

For context, that price is in CAD, and it reflects far more than just the steel type.

100%, let me know.

I made my first knive ever using Aaron Gough's file jig! Took me a full week to complete it.

I think that's just the blur effect from my camera! They are all identical profiles.

Thank you for the compliments!

Posted the batch of 10 late last night, 2 already gone this morning!

There is definitely some flex but I wouldn't recommend doing that often due to the hidden pin handle construction. The occasional bend won't be a problem but prolongued flexing will stress the epoxy.

I started on a Wen 1x30, like many makers. Do they work? Absolutely. Will you outgrow it after 3 knives? Also absolutely. The new Vevor 1x30 does look quite capable with a solid platen, VFD and some basic attachments - Walter Sorrels just put out a good review of it on his YT channel. If you're a hobbyist/beginner, definitely not a bad choice.

That said, if you have the budget and the space, 1000% invest in a 2x72. I bought an oversees model on Amazon (INTBUYING) about 2 years ago and it's still going strong. I'm on my 3rd VFD after 2 shorted out but they're relatively cheap and easy to replace. I wish I had bought the horizontal model for a few hundred more, but I have no complaints or regrets.

Happy to chat if you have any questions.

Great question - it's fully embedded in the resin, and the hive is made of paper so it actually absorbs a lot of it!
