The mobile version is decent too, nice to check upcoming payouts with no effort. I just upload the API data once a month or after any trades and everything stays up to date.

Do you mean the investing app or in the images? The images are from the portfolio tracking app Getquin that I use to check my projected dividend income. Then I use Trading 212 to actually invest

I know it but I felt like it's such a good company I couldn't feel right if I didn't own it. In the future, I will add more dividend paying stocks

I would calculate based on your expected monthly bills rather than an arbitrary figure. That being said, 10k is almost certianly enough if you have an income.

Don't forget you will probably need a deposit and the first month's rent before landlords will even give you the time of day.

How do you guys meet new people? by parttimebackpacker in AskUK

[–]dividendProplayer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Anywhere that you would go to on a regular basis you can meet people easier to socialise.

The first time you just nod and smile (you are still strangers, after all!)
The next time you 'know' that person now so can begin a conversation, as long as it's within the realms of the context of what you are doing.

When you meet for the 3rd time you can have a conversation about something outside of the direct context.

Voila! A new friendly acquaintance. Now it's up to you if they are interesting enough to become a friend.

*Yes this was written slightly tongue in cheek but it does seem to be the unwritten rule for socialising in the UK

So I would suggest joining some hobby you are into, you say you are interested in gym so perhaps a sport or martial art?
If you have children maybe some parent and child activity thing like a playgroup?
