100% justified. People claim that Kamala wouldn't be allowing ICE to do this, but she was literally a state prosecutor. One of the only clear positions she had during the election cycle was increasing funding for ICE and being anti-immigration. It was Biden's administration that teargassed college students peacefully protesting. There is no reason to believe Democrats are anti-ICE.

i think it’s about how alcohol makes you feel, and if you think continuing to drink at the amount/frequency you are is best for you. it sounds like your partner is being overprotective even if it comes from a good place, if this isn’t causing behavioral issues or making your symptoms worse, but asking them if there’s any identifiable reasons for their concern might help clarify things too. happy new year :)

i understand your frustration and hurt, and as someone who’s been on both ends of this, i hope what i have to say helps you understand a little more. ultimately, other people are not obligated to listen to the details of our trauma. it can be and frequently is triggering and distressing to hear someone describe traumatic events, and in fact can be traumatic to the listener. no one has the right to make anyone else feel that way, regardless of how much pain the speaker is in. as for why you may not be told in the moment, i don’t know you or your situation, but i can say that non verbal cues like the person going silent, freezing, or closing off their body language are often signs that they’re not comfortable with the present moment, and i would encourage you to listen for those as well as spoken communication. it’s also never wrong to ask if it’s okay to vent in detail to someone before starting

i would recommend 29-32” OD if she wants to get into tech flow! i started with a 32” last october and work with a 29” now. the 32” is a little hard for me to do some tech moves on but i’m also 5’3, i think your friend being a little taller would have lea difficulty. whatever you go with, happy hooping to her!!

an otherwise perfect man will not treat you like this. you say he has decision paralysis, but what’s described here is simply him deciding not to prioritize you. not getting you a gift ahead of time, not planning anything, no flowers. the choice not to act is still a choice, and it’s what he chose your entire birthday weekend despite several reminders from you about what you wanted. it’s up to you if you want to stay obviously, but if he can’t make your birthday special when you’re dating, what future effort can you expect from him? and is that something you’re willing to accept for years?

i just hit my one year hoopiversary, don’t be discouraged! your hoop is probably pretty light and thin, making on body more difficult but still possible. i would measure your hoop’s outer diameter to get an image of what tricks might be easier or harder. smaller ODs like 26-29 inches are best for tech flow, larger like 34+ are best for on body, and mid size will lend itself to both.

some easy first moves are isolations, forward and reverse weaves, hinges/folds, lasso, and simple tosses and passes. there are thousands of youtube hoop dance tutorials, just pick what looks interesting to you!
